Publisher's summary

Beverly Winston was sadistically murdered in her home and then, for bizarre reasons, the murderer buried her body at the Oregon Wind Cave. Ms. Winston's restless spirit set in motion a series of paranormal events that drew a young boy, Ronny, and a few of his friends into the deepening mystery surrounding her death. She would not rest until her murderer was caught. Ronny Hazelwood and his young companions are swept up in a tangible struggle between marauding manifestations of good and evil and are themselves directly responsible for the materialization of yet another unexpected, hungry, and terrifying intruder. What begins as a murder investigation leads to the tearing down and ripping away of perceived veils between natural and supernatural worlds.

Meddling kids? Mystery, drama and fun.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Fun and creepy listen! Great story line, with great mystery and paranormal themes. Has some gore and horror, but was more paranormal in nature.

It was well written. Character development was very well done.

I enjoyed that it was almost like a grown up version of Scooby Doo. Kid sleuths, trying to solve a mystery. Was reminencient of my childhood days, with a more grown up twist.

I enjoyed this one alot. Four stars overall.

Narrator was great. Great flow, great emotions. Easy to listen to and engaging.

I would listen to more books by this author!

Good Supernatural

I totally enjoyed this murder thriller with supernatural twist. Ronny Hazelwood visited caves in Oregon With his father 1 cave he felt dread and wanted to leave ASAP it was the wind cave. He continued to get vibes and the body of Beverly Winston is discovered and he can see and communicate with, she wants her murderer found so she can rest. He and his friends investigate. It was fun fast pace listen. It was my first listen by author and is a non-fiction but fiction. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Light & fun supernatural thriller give this a try!

*This book was given to me by the author at my request, and I provided this voluntary review.*

4.3/5

I was really surprised by this read - After reading the reviews, and even speaking to the author himself, I wasn't sure how it was going to be, so I dove on in! We get a mix between Pre-80's coming of age story intertwined with a supernatural thriller. While I grew up just a decade or so after the time period in this novel, I could relate to the kids, especially the character "Normal." The switch between the kids part of the story mixes well with the events of the adult portions of the book. This was a fun and quick supernatural thriller that to me is a pseudo cross between the sandlot meets the goonies meets harriet the spy. It was tied up in a nice neat bow at the end, I dont suspect a sequel, but would definitely be interested if there is one.

The audiobook performance was quite odd - between the inflections of the narrator, the "baby" style music played randomly, and I was even in tears laughing with some of the character impersonations. This is NO WAY DETRACTS FROM THE STORY ITSELF!!!! Please be aware of this when giving a listen to the audiobook; please give this book a chance, you will like it!

Entertaining Read

This book was pretty interesting, especially knowing that it is based on some true events. I believe that it would be especially interesting for young teen readers. The narration was very good and definitely made for a more entertaining listening experience!
