Publisher's summary

What happens when a deity needs a human body? They go to the source, of course.

Eshu the Trickster needs a mortal form for his mischievous plans, but the only other Orisha who can help him swore off the practice ages ago.

It will take careful scheming to convince the Original Architect to come out of retirement. Any misstep and Eshu will be thrown from the Sky Realm.

What’s worse, Eshu hasn’t visited the heavens for several centuries. Would his former comrade even be the same? How can Eshu persuade someone he barely knows anymore?

Find out in this prequel short story to The Gatekeeper’s Staff, a young-adult fantasy based on the West African mythology of the Orishas.

WONDERFUL

Antoine B, These stories are so amazing I don't even want them to stop. You have brought to life the Orishas through your stories and provided our children (and Adults) with a WONDERFUL and RICH insight to our ancestry. PLEASE keep up the GREAT WORK, our children need this series 🙏

Adventure Driven Excellence

I'm elated to have stories animated through audio given background into the nature of each Orisha, specifically Esu and Obatala, my favorite part was the Narrator orating "Afterall Esu wasn't heartless" in reference to tricking Obatala. Truly grateful for stories such as this, especially for non-initiates to learn from. Never too old to enjoy childhood excitement! Very Well Written Antoine Bandele....
