His touch makes her burn.

And that's the one thing she must never do…

Blaise can’t afford to lose control. She can’t let her inner monster rise. Not ever again.

Even if that means denying her own feelings…and her fated mate.

But that’s okay. She’s used to repressing her animal—and her desires. She can keep her distance from him, no matter what her friends think.

Nothing has to change. After all, he can’t possibly feel the same instant, soul-deep connection. Despite the way his dark eyes seem to look straight into her heart, seeing everything she tries to hide… he’s not a shifter.

At least, not anymore.

With his own animal dead, he never needs to know that she’s his mate…

Right?

Author's Note: Look, if you've listened to the previous Wildfire books, you already know why you should listen to this one. And if you haven't tried the previous books in the series, for the love of all that's holy, don't start with this one! Listen to the series in order, starting with Wildfire Griffin, and meet a crew of loyal, brave, messed-up shifters who'll do anything for their mates…and each other.

Kept my attention—loved the different voices and story lines. Extended into past & present together.

How each character was there as part of a family of friends.

I was so excited that this book was finally on audiobooks. But the narrator is so bad that I am having difficulty finishing it. It is so disappointing. I don't believe it is worth the credit spent on it. All the accents are wrong and her tone is flat. I never thought I would say this but it might have been better if IA had done it.

Good book terrible narrator

This final installment of the Wildfire series would have been perfect if Lucy Rivers had narrated it. Charlie Wood did her best, I'm sure, but fell far short of the mark. If I had not heard the other five books with Ms. Rivers, it probably would have been all right. But after enjoying her wonderfully varied character vocals, Charlie was disappointing. Edith sounded like a sex worker, Rory's accent was horrible, Joe sounded flat and Saren sounded like a computer. The only characters she did halfway decent was Buck, Blaise and Zephyr. It just wasn't as excellent and it took away from a wonderful story. Having said that, the story itself was perfect. It was a Beautiful ending and I sincerely hope there is another series in the works, giving the final events. No spoilers, but I'm looking forward to more with Lucy Rivers narrating.

Great Story, bad narrator

This has been an wonderful series and I was so excited for this , the 6th book in the series but the narration was similar to listening to AI and ruined the book. Lucy Rivers did such a remarkable job on the other books it would have been best to stick with her.

Good story, poor narration

I’ve enjoyed this series, but was thrown off by the new narrator. When she was reading Blaze’s lines it was pretty good, when she was reading for Zephyr, it was bland and monotone. The original narrator in the series was so much better

Great Story, change in narrator not so good

I enjoyed listening to this series up to this book. The performance ruined it. Why the change on this book? It totally changed the feel of the story. This highly anticipated addition kind of fizzled for me. The story itself is good but I'd read the book instead of listening.

Happy and very disappointed.
