His touch makes her burn.

And that's the one thing she must never do…

Blaise can’t afford to lose control. She can’t let her inner monster rise. Not ever again.

Even if that means denying her own feelings…and her fated mate.

But that’s okay. She’s used to repressing her animal—and her desires. She can keep her distance from him, no matter what her friends think.

Nothing has to change. After all, he can’t possibly feel the same instant, soul-deep connection. Despite the way his dark eyes seem to look straight into her heart, seeing everything she tries to hide… he’s not a shifter.

At least, not anymore.

With his own animal dead, he never needs to know that she’s his mate…

Right?

Author's Note: Look, if you've listened to the previous Wildfire books, you already know why you should listen to this one. And if you haven't tried the previous books in the series, for the love of all that's holy, don't start with this one! Listen to the series in order, starting with Wildfire Griffin, and meet a crew of loyal, brave, messed-up shifters who'll do anything for their mates…and each other.

Kept my attention—loved the different voices and story lines. Extended into past & present together.

How each character was there as part of a family of friends.

This final installment of the Wildfire series would have been perfect if Lucy Rivers had narrated it. Charlie Wood did her best, I'm sure, but fell far short of the mark. If I had not heard the other five books with Ms. Rivers, it probably would have been all right. But after enjoying her wonderfully varied character vocals, Charlie was disappointing. Edith sounded like a sex worker, Rory's accent was horrible, Joe sounded flat and Saren sounded like a computer. The only characters she did halfway decent was Buck, Blaise and Zephyr. It just wasn't as excellent and it took away from a wonderful story. Having said that, the story itself was perfect. It was a Beautiful ending and I sincerely hope there is another series in the works, giving the final events. No spoilers, but I'm looking forward to more with Lucy Rivers narrating.

Great Story, bad narrator

I didn't like this new narrator. She made Joe sound like a dull pothead. All the men sound dull like they have no life.

Lucy Rivers Better

This has been an wonderful series and I was so excited for this , the 6th book in the series but the narration was similar to listening to AI and ruined the book. Lucy Rivers did such a remarkable job on the other books it would have been best to stick with her.

Good story, poor narration

This a great book. This whole series has been great. I highly recommend this whole series. Yes this book had a different narrator I don't know why you would change the narrator in the very last book the character don't sound like we're use to but with that being said once you get past the initial voices being different I think she does a pretty good job. I love this story it's as good as the rest. I had listened to the first book but had not finished the rest of the series but then when the series Shifted cub camp came out I listened to them (first book is Storm wolf). I enjoyed them so much, well the first 2 books the 3rd book hadn't come out yet. So I decided to go back and listen to the rest of this series I'm so glad I did. I couldn't recommend enough this series and Shifter cub camp. They are all great! I highly recommend.

Really enjoyed this book
