great story

I've read this authors zombie rules series and decided to give this book a try. I was not totally sold on the reader but the story hooked me,the main character was cool and story was well written,I hope another book will be coming out in the series!!!!

narrator was terrible

love the story. had twist and turns only issue was the narrator. he couldn't change voices of characters only the volume. sounded like a computer reading it.

Cigars without regret!

It was refreshing to have the main character enjoy cigars throughout the book without making him seem like a frumpy Colombo type and more like Steve McQueen’s Thomas Crown.
The only real negative to the audiobook was the in the performance of the reader. His lack of voice characterization made me wince several times, when he had to use phrases such as “I said” or similar. The other performance issue was the lack of southern accents. The character’s home is in Nashville and they have a very distinct southern drawl.

I really tried to listen to this book the narrator sounds like a robot terrible decision for now on I’m gonna look for this narrator’s name And avoid the book

Bad writing or bad narration?

Narrator sounds like a child learning to read. I am not sure he could improve the simplistic writing in any case.

Struggled through it

Story line was OK. Narration was horrible. Reminded me of the acting in the worst of the worst b movies. Narration was so bad that at times it was difficult to tell if the writing was any good. I enjoyed the authors zombie series but this was a total dud.
