Simple yet powerful
A quick and solid audiobook! Told in the perspectives of two brothers, Omar and Sufyan, this book highlights the boys’ loss of innocence due to war. The war forces them to grow up quickly as they struggle to cope with their overwhelming loss of family, home, food as well as other basic necessities, and at one point, each other.
I believe this story will appeal to a wide audience and in my opinion one of the better children’s books I listened to this year.
