Story
Men are weeds. Allison Hart doesn't need them in her carefully tended life, though her friends at Green Acres seem happy with their guys. Why can't Allison open her heart to anyone but her young nephew? Then again, he'll be a man one day, too. If only the irritating contractor in charge of building her home and farm school wasn't the boy's favorite person. Fireworks with Brent Callahan's newest client shift from antagonism to the rocky possibility of a relationship. Can a little boy help weed out the past before it chokes their future?

Story
After separating herself from the oppressive cult where she was raised, Mackenzie Soeurs has two dreams: to give her son Riley a better life than she had, and to live in peace, as far from the harsh God of her past as she can get. At least that was the plan until her son got hauled to jail for theft and she lost the mother she never truly understood. In the darkest moments of her life, Mac finds herself surrounded by a group of Christian women she can't understand and a handsome man willing to take her son under his wing.

Publisher's Summary
She's rooted deep. He flies free.
Local-foods chef Claire Halford envisions turning Green Acres Farm into an event destination. Weddings prove trickier than she imagined when the first one comes with a ruggedly handsome brother-of-the-bride, who has everything but a fixed address. Oh, and faith in God.
Noel Kenzie loves the freedom his reforestation company affords him. Why worry about deep stuff like God and commitment when he's in his prime? Except there's a woman who might make it worth giving up his wings... and digging in some roots. If he dares.

Great Story. Noel and Claire both have obstacles to overcome. The author really understands the human nature and struggles of faith, self doubt, inner struggles and family issues. Becky Doughty does a good job reading this story and bringing characters to life.

A beautiful country romance.
I enjoyed listening to the audio of this second book in the Farm Fresh Romance series by Valerie Comer. The story line flowed smoothly and kept me interested. Then there was a big incident at the end of the book that had me on the edge of my seat!! LOL

I'm in love with Noel Kenzie
Would you consider the audio edition of Wild Mint Tea to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the book I only listened to the audiobook. But the Audiobook was great. I kept telling Alexa play my audiobook.
What other book might you compare Wild Mint Tea to and why?
I can't think of anything but it's a great clean romance that keeps you listening and makes you want to fall in love again.
Which scene was your favorite?
The first kiss, and where she realizes that nothing is as important as God and the man in her life.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When the fire took place it was written very well and parts of that section did bring a tear to my eye to think about how God is really the most important thing and that we should see life through that mindset. Nothing else matters but God and the people we can take to heaven with us.
Any additional comments?
Becky did a great job reading this she does a great job and I had no problem seeing Noel as a man in my mind as I was hearing her do his voice. Great job.

Great Characters and Fascinating Setting
I enjoy Valerie Comer's ability to create realistic characters who are both flawed and lovable. I also really enjoy the settings she creates and how Green Acres Farm is a character in its own right in these books.
Claire's willingness to recognize, address, and repent of things in her life she was putting above following God's plan challenged me to trust God more and dig deeper in my relationship with Him.
I would personally have liked to see more growth in Noel's spiritual life before Claire agreed to marry him. Words are cheap and I felt like a simple profession of regained faith shouldn't have been enough for a woman who claims to have a deep faith that is everything to her. (But having read more of this series, I know it does come.)
I found the performance adequate but felt that the way the reader read the male voices by trying to lower her own voice was a little annoying and sometimes her emphasis and intonation made lines that worked well in print sound kind of cheesy.
I received this audio book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

Wild Mint Tea is soothing and invigorating!
What did you love best about Wild Mint Tea?
Valerie Comer's inspiring, Christian books are treasures! I look forward to her releases and each of her down-to-earth works that I have read and listened to have given me uniquely special memories and lessons I am so thankful for experiencing! Wild Mint Tea unfailingly reminds and demonstrates to me how priceless is the peace that living a Christ-like life brings; putting God first, clinging to Him in faith, depending on Him, relying on Him, serving Him, and being strengthened by Him! Life is not easy for anyone, but God never ceases to reach out and be there for His children at any point in time with welcoming warmth!
What about Becky Doughty’s performance did you like?
Animated, distinctive, and meaningful, I highly applaud Becky Doughty's narrative performance! It certainly did not escape my notice that many expressions crossed my features. I'd laughed out loud, and responded with entertained commentary. And I was greatly moved by Wild Mint Tea both times I have read through and listened through this wonderful gem of a book! I am beyond happy to have experienced both turning my Kindle pages and paying attention in rapture to my Audible version of this novel!

loved the story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I love Valerie Comer's books, and was thrilled to experience them again on audio.
What three words best describe Becky Doughty’s performance?
While Becky did a great job with different voices for each character, I felt that her performance lacked enthusiasm and inflection. Had I not already loved the story and its characters, this might have diminished in some degree my enjoyment of the audiobook.
