Halloween grab bag
I came to this series with book 21 out on the market, and am really enjoying catching up. Book 6 down, so many more adventures to go! I loved the tidbits added to all the characters in this book. A little bit of everything, like a Halloween grab bag of candy, it had a bit of sweet and sour going on.

Some good changes, some still need to be made
Well, Brian still sounds like deputy dawg - love his character but not that voice. I'm also finding that Michael's voice is hard to distinguish from Brian's.
However it is good to see some growth and stability in Ivy at long last.
Just a heads up, , for a cosy mystery/ romance, Book 5 is darker than one would expect.

Two issues
I have two issues with this series. one the characters say I way to much and the leading female character Ivy is a strong, independent women until she starts dating Jack the leading male character. She becomes a coward she needs Jack's permission to go anywhere. if she does decide to go somewhere without his permission he yells and screams at her. I don't want my young sister, niece or daughters this is normal.

I have list to several of this authors series. This is the worst. The story line is boring and too predictable. The characters are vanilla. I have loved all the other series. It makes ne sad to say this is so bland. I listened to the fist 6 books hoping it would get better and it never did. Disappointed.
