Publisher's Summary

In the second pulse-pounding novel in the USA Today best-selling Heirs of Chicagoland series, vampire Elisa Sullivan gets drawn into the shifting sands of pack politics.

Vampires were made, not born - until Elisa Sullivan came along. As the only vampire child in existence, she grew up with a heavy legacy, and tried to flee her past. Then circumstances drew her back to Chicago, and she stayed to keep it safe. With shifter Connor Keene, the only son of Pack Apex Gabriel Keene, at her side, she faced down a supernatural evil that threatened to destroy Chicago forever.

After the dust from the attack has settled, Elisa is surprised when Connor invites her to a usually private Pack event in the north woods of Minnesota, and by the warm welcome she receives from some of Connor's family, even though she's a vampire. But the peace doesn't last. The shifters tell tales of a monster in the woods, and when the celebration is marred by death, Elisa and Connor find themselves in the middle of a struggle for control that forces Elisa to face her true self - fangs and all.

Better than the first in this series

Chloe hits her snarky stride in this the second book in the Heirs of Chicagoland. Not wanting to spoil anything for anyone I'm not going to get into details, just know that this book delivers in the way all Chicagoland fans want and expect from Chloe.

Wicked Hour Rocked!

Truly enjoyed this story, and I hope there are many many more adventures for Conner and Elisa in the future! Chloe did a fantastic job of bringing the next generation together to make it all click. I look forward to the next adventure!

Already impatiently waiting for book 3!!

Love Love Love!!!! Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampire Series is one of my all time favs, so of course I’m loving the Heirs Spinoff. Chloe Neill has a great writing style and her characters are always well developed and the storyline is awesome. Narration is nice as well. I also loved seeing Merit and Ethan again. So started giggling when Gabriel Keene called Merit ‘Kitten’.. missed them all so much. Well probably read that series again well waiting on book 3.

I loved this book!!

I absolutely loved this book. The characters in the series a simply amazing. I especially enjoyed the new addition to their little crew. I enjoyed the change of location in this book. And the fact that Connor was introducing Elisa to members of his pack and family. They really work well as a team. I can't wait for the next book in the series. As always Susan Elise Freeman did an excellent job with the narration. Completely worth a read and listen.

Wicked Hour -book 2 of Heirs of Chicagoland

Book one Wild Hunger -was good. Wicked Hour -book 2 in Heirs of Chicagoland-is excellent. Couldn’t put it down. This is an Elisa & Connor getting to know each other story. The whole book is packed with action when Connor brings Elisa to visit and seek out answers from a Minnesota shifter pack.

A great slow burn

I want more... it's a slow burn just like the parent series and you know it's not always going to be easy but I enjoyed it so much and am sad I listened to it so fast and now I have to wait for probably a year for the next one to come out. Chloe, please write faster :)

This book shows the promise of this new series

I'm a big fan of the original Chicagoland Vampire series.

The first book of this new series had to bridge the two and, while entertaining, wasn't up to standard.

This book is.

Elisa and Connor are a team worth following.

ANOTHER GREAT STORY!

Love to see the younger generation of Chicagoland grow into their power and responsibilities! And the sparks flying all over the place, with amazing chemistry between the two major characters!

Can’t wait to see what comes next!

Werewolf Camp

Well, I liked the plot well enough. The characters are ok , but this felt like a romance with a bit of suspense, not quite like the urban fantasy expected from Chloe Neill. So, it was ok, except for the narrator on the audiobook, who did not add to the experience, and made the lead characters sound sort of trite.
