Why The Loch Ness Monster Will Never Be Found is the story of two refugee children, one from Syria and one from Hong Kong, who find themselves in the same primary school in Inverness, Scotland. One of them decides to do a school project on The Loch Ness Monster, only to find that, to his astonishment, The Loch Ness Monster actually exists and wants to befriend him. In the process, the hostile Morrison family discover that their ancestors, too, were once refugees.
