A Godly Perspective on Suffering

Loved it. The best book I read on the subject while enriching faith, hope, and love in God.

Some interesting points

Some interesting points were made in this book, but I struggled sometimes to understand his point. I also found the questions frustrating and distracting. I don't like this particular literary device.

Undetermined audience

Too technical for laity, too bland for scholars. Also, with his only experience of suffering being kidney stones, he lacks compassion & empathy as did the friends of Job whom he rebukes. The over enunciation by the narrator makes this text sound like an instruction manual. Lastly, the emphasis upon God's sovereignty above God's Sacrificial love, rather than presenting His sovereignty as serving His love, portrays God as cold and calculating. Only those who adhere to Calvinism & the doctrines of the Reformed church bodies will find this book helpful
