Publisher's summary

We live in a world filled with suffering. If you are reading this, you are probably experiencing it right now. 61 million Americans suffer from depression or anxiety disorders. 41 million people in our nation are addicted to alcohol, opioids, barbiturates, stimulants, or hallucinogens. 1.3 million people die from cancer or heart disease annually in America. 700,000 marriages end in divorce each year in our nation. One out of every four American marriages experiences adultery. There are more than two million funerals every year in America, leaving behind grieving parents, children, spouses, and siblings. 100,000 parents suffer the death of a young child each year in our nation.
Why does a loving God allow these things to happen? Are there biblical reasons that can bring us comfort? Are there scriptures we can rely on to encourage and strengthen us during our trials? Are there biblical strategies we can follow to enable us to endure and to emerge triumphantly from our suffering and sorrow? The answer to all of these questions is “yes”. You will find comfort, encouragement, and hope in the pages of this book.

Narrator repeatedly mispronounced a name

Narrator constantly pronounced the name “Job”, as job, like a workers job. The name is pronounced like “jobe”. Any person with an even cursory knowledge of the Bible knows this. Your narrator didn’t know anything, he just read a script, and no editors caught it. Shameful. If you are going to produce religious books, at least get the names straight!
