About this listen

What do best-selling writers Sue Grafton, Danielle Steel, Curtis Sittenfeld (prep) and Tom Clancy all have in common? They've all been shockingly murdered in a manner both gruesome and appropriate to their style. Now, an extremely paranoid Stephen King is convinced that he will be the next victim. With great trepidation, he leaves his heavily barricaded fortress in Bangor, Maine, to discover Who's Killing the Great Writers of America? This hilarious sent-up of the world of publishing by the author of Me and Orson Wells and The Cat Who Killed Lilian Jackson Braun takes us from Venice to Paris to Swan's Island and offers cameo appearances by Steve Martin, Gerard Depardieu, as well as quite a few surprises. A must-listen for anyone who loves to laugh!

I listened to this book while driving 5 hours to be with my family when my father was seriously ill. It made the time go fast, and kept my mind off of what awaited me upon my arrival. Besides, who wouldn't listen to a book with all the great mystery writers, AND Steve Martin?

Good listening for a short drive

Absolutley horrible! I purchased this because I usually listen to pretty dark mysteries/thrillers and thought I could get my mystery fix with a few laughs. Not so, this wasn't funny in the least. All I can say is the author must have dirty pics on everyone he mentionined in this book otherwise they would sue his a## for portraying them as he did. I'll never see Gerard Depardieu the same again! Save your money!!!

Awful!!

This is not a funny book unless you find graphic descriptions of bodily functions funny.
