Interesting Romance

This was an interesting romance. Emily needed financial investors for her match-making business and David needed a wife. When David shows up in her office looking for a match, Emily thinks it’s too good an opportunity to pass up and decides to be his perfect match. The story had an interesting twist, however I didn’t feel a connection with Emily. I just found her too selfish and conniving. On the other hand I really liked David. Though he was also keeping a secret he was sweet and caring and a really good guy. Connie Shabshab did an excellent job with the narration. She did a great job with both male and female voices. I received a free copy of this audiobook and have voluntarily provided an unbiased review.

Sweet, Fun, and Beautiful!

This was my first Laura Burton's book, and won't be my last. Emily and David fake marriage is a sweet, fun, heartwarming, and beautiful contemporary romance. Emily and David are both great, caring, and beautiful characters. They are great together. Connie Shabshab did an amazing job with the narration! She has a beautiful voice, easy to understand. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Looking forward for more books from this author!

A fun creative sweet romance. This engaging storyline had me listening from start to finish. The narrator does an amazing job differenciateing between the various characters in this addicting plot that grows as the story continues with humor and struggles in a great romance .

Great book

I loved listening to this. Clean, but it still had a tiny bit bit of sizzle. The narrator was great. I’m not usually a fan of contemporary, but I did enjoy this one.

TWO WRONGS TO MAKE IT RIGHT

Emily and David’s world, they meet, to number one save her business, number two, a party to meet his family as his chosen one. A good plot of when feelings got in the way. Will two wrongs make a match .
The narration by Connie Shabshab was excellent in bringing this story to life.

I found this book to be hilarious and annoying.

I feel like most of the book was the constant reminder and in detailed description of how they were using each other for their own benefit and how they think the other person won't like it, and to be honest I found it rather annoying.

It was quite hilarious the lenghts to which David's grandmother, and the rest of his family, had gone to get him to get married, all the while he thinks his grandmother is oblivous to the whole thing and she will be unhappy about it.
I'm glad Emily going to get to open her L.A. branch.

An HEA with a twist!!

Emily owns a matchmaking business and wants to expand to LA. But her investors insist she be married to have the proper image for a matchmaker. Enter David, who needs a wife in 30 days or he will lose his inheritance.

This story is well written and captured my interest. It remains clean, but I found myself getting a little warm sometimes! The narrator does a good job and is very engaging. At first I really didn't like Emily, but she grows on you as she matures and makes better choices.

There is a very unexpected twist at the end. I was kind of expecting a twist, but not this one! Well done Laura Burton!

I recommend this audiobook.

Matchmaking

This one turned out better than I thought it would when I started listening. I had my doubts about the main female character. But she turned out to be a little more like able than I thought she would be. A fun twist at the end.

Great

Audio read narrated fantastically by Connie Shabshab. This is my second book by Laura Burton and won't be my last. This story was creatively twisted together.

Emily owns her own dating agency. She's wanting to expand to a new location. The new investor wants Emily to find her own perfect match. When David enters her office, Emily thinks she's formed a plan. Little does she know she's not the only one playing a game.

Billionaire David Marks needs a wife. This is the story of a fake marriage turned real.

I really liked this book, but I'd wished it was longer. I felt the romance needed longer to brew to love. I also didn't like Emily's relationship with her assistant. Even considering these two points I rate this book 4 stars because the story is good. The story unravels well and the main characters fit together.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Secrets & Love

What happens when you want to expand your business and the only way to secure the funds is to get married? You find a pretend husband! Emily owns a matchmaking business and would like to open a new office. With the terms of her funding set, she knows she needs to find a husband fast! David comes to her and needs to find a wife in 30 days, having this opportunity fall into her lap! Emily is a strong willed, competent woman and does not need a man to complete her, so she thinks. David is a little shy, trips over himself when trying to impress(which I adore) and is very protective of his family. Love these two very different personalities. Its a joy to see how they meld. Laura Burton takes us on a fun filled adventure as these two navigate their new relationship. It's got humor, a lot of secrets and a twist that not only made me smile but was a complete surprise! This is my first book by the author, and I love her style, her low angst and the sweet romance she wove between these two!

Connie Shabshab is a new to me narrator, and I enjoyed her performance. She has a great pace, a huge variety of voices and really brings the story to life. She made it a wonderful listen!
