Good depiction of psychic abilities

I like the way Krentz handles psychic abilities as something that affects the user on many levels and subservient to characterization and plot. Always a good mystery and complex twists.

Female Narrator seemed to struggle

White Lies was a rather simple but pleasant story and I wasn't sure what I would think of having two narrators, but figured I would give it a try. For the most part, I didn't mind it at all but wasn't wild about it either.

The issue I had with narration was the female narrator's seeming struggle to attain different voices for different female characters. I'm not sure if her range is limited or if she was trying too hard but the "breathy" voice she created for the heroine's sister made me grit my teeth every time I heard it. The continual stopping for a breath in mid-sentence and the way it was voiced made it sound like that character had emphysema or had just run a marathon. I lost track of the story in the midst of hating the character voice every time she spoke.

Please, no more "breathy" voiced characters.

Another stunning Arcane story

As always, Krentz delivers a story with emotions and intensity. A great addition to the Arcane series.

Decent

Maybe because I liked this book so much in print, but the production of the book wasn’t great the male voice sometimes sounded like he was reading through a tin can. It also felt as if they where just reading as appose to being a voice actor with inflections

Awesome narrators!

I've read this book before, but I have to say this team of narrators really brought it to life for me. I wish this team had more collaborations.
I can definitely recommend this book and any other narrated by this team. The best narrated book I have ever listened to!

Poor reading skills

Readers were overly dramatic in odd places, and having two readers was not at all pleasant. I really hated this rendition of the book.

Good but shallow

Not a lot of depth in the characters and a little slow. but it picks up half way in.

fun story but didn't like female voice

the female voice just grayed on me. it didn't matter which character she voiced... it was always grating.. too old sounding, too high pitched.. but story and characters were interesting enough to keep me listening.
