Publisher's summary

When Lachlan Daly forced himself into my life, I fought like hell to keep him at a distance. He invaded every part of my being with his rugged good looks and charm. I wish I would’ve known the secrets and lies that laid behind those whiskey-colored eyes. Because the minute I let him in, betrayal wasn’t far behind. Between his deception and his brother lies, I’m not sure who I fell in love with. I can’t decide if we’re worth the fight or if it was ever love at all. One thing I do know, it’s time for a rebellion. There’s something to be said for shots of whiskey—straight.

The Best Ending!

Leonna Luxx has a fantastic talent for giving the listener a plot and character development that is complex and captivating. I was immediately drawn into the first book of this duet. This second book was even more intriguing and had me spellbound. Maisyn and Lachlan are perfect for each other but their past could derail them. Maisyn has two sweet young daughters to consider, but Lachlan treats them as his own. However, Lachlan's secret may override her trust in him. I loved the strong, determined woman we see in the end. What a perfect ending!

Kelli Lindsay and Jarman Day bring these characters to life with their outstanding storytelling abilities. They capture the essence of these two characters as well as all of the other characters. They move effortlessly from one character to the next. Their tone of voices made this Audible book such a pleasure to listen to and enjoy. I highly recommend this Audible book. This book and book 1 are really 10 star books. I will definitely listen to them again.

Lies & Whiskey

Whiskey colored eyes. Maisyn loved Lachlan's eyes. But as we pick up in book two, we find out there is more than one person with them! Lachlan's twin, Lennox has been infringing on their relationship without their knowledge. And Maisyn didn't know there was a twin brother! Now the two have to rebuild their trust as well as deal with the evil that is lurking in Lachlan's business. Will they find their way back to each other? What will become of the business? And will Lachlan ever forgive his twin? It's an exciting ride for these two. Leona Luxx writes a complex story, and lets us along for their journey. Maisyn definitely has trust issues, and she has her girls to think about as well. Lachlan, for as business minded and smart he is, he definitely needs help in the relationship department! And there are times I find him just too nice! But the story is exciting and it's easy to become invested in their outcome. This is not a standalone, so if you have not grabbed Lies in Whiskey and Ink first, you will want to do that! It's a pleasure to listen to!

Kelli Lindsay and Jarman Day finish out the duet with an amazing performance. Each one is spot on with their characters. Lindsay gives that vulnerability to Maisyn that resonates in your heart, but then turns it all into love and strength with a change in inflections and attitude! Day is fantastic, switching from the loving, easy going Lachlan to the evil Lennox without missing a beat. I enjoyed their interpretation and look forward to hearing more from them.

Fantastic Narration & Ending to an Awesome Duet!

This is the second book in Leona Luxx’s “Lies & Whiskey” Duet and the story picks up where the first book, “Lies in Ink and Whiskey, ended. The first book is not to be missed, it ends in a cliffhanger so now is the perfect time to get both books because you will not have to wait to find out what happen with the lead characters Maisyn and the Daly brothers, Lachlan and Lennox. Maisyn fell in love with Lachlan or so she thought she did now she is questioning whether she really knew him or not. Lachlan needs to win her back but he is not the best at showing how he feels and continues to mess things up. His brother Lennox is evil and is trying to make Lachlan pay for taking away what he wanted and should have been his. Like the first book the story is fast moving and cleverly plotted, the story captured my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire book. I loved how it all plays out, I thought Maisyn and Lachlan were perfect together and for each other and her daughters too. In the end it was Maisyn who impressed me the most, she stepped up and kicked butt, kudos to her. Leaona Luxx, thank you for another great story and emotional roller coaster ride, I loved where you took these characters and how they got there.

🎧📚🎧And for the wonderful narration, Kelli Lindsay and Jarman Day continue to bring these characters and their story to life. They do an awesome job portraying the characters, taking each role and making it their own. Jarman Day played the perfect Lachlin, sounding just as I pictured him to sound. Kelli Lindsay did the same for Maisyn. Both were great playing the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Fantastic and fitting end!

Lachlan might have been richer than Midas and as savvy as they come in business, but when it came to knowing how to love, he was completely clueless! Book two begins where book one left off. Maisyn’s trust in Lachlan is completely shattered and she is not about to make anything easy on him, and who could blame her! Lachlan easily took first prize in the dunce of the year contest! Filled with luscious angst and characters that seem so real; some you want to love, some you want to hurt, and some you may want to dig a very deep ditch for! Whiskey Rebellion is an absolute delight as Maisyn takes names, settles accounts and sets about securing her happy ending. I totally loved it! Beautifully written and brought to life by fantastic narration, this one checked off all my boxes. I laughed, I cried, and I loved every minute!
