OMG! LOL! Epic romcom

If you’re looking for a quick, DWL, romcom, then this book is definitely for you! Jax is on his way back to NJ from a bachelor party weekend in FL when his flight is cancelled...and he meets Paisley, who’s also traveling back home to NJ. The sparks are there and Paisley decides to invite Jax to share a room for the night...wink wink. What doesn’t happen will have you rolling with laughter! Then they decide to drive back to NJ...together! I was cracking up in the most inappropriate places while listening to this...got some strange looks. The narration team did a fantastic job with the material. Looking forward to Remi’s story. I accepted a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Loved it

Ryan Ringbloom is a new author to me, however I have listened to both of the narrators Tor Thom and Charley Ongel before. This was a quick listen with plenty of humour and numerous laugh out loud moments. The chemistry between Jaxson Kay and Paisley Robins is off the charts and both Tor Thom and Charley Ongel portrayed this with a great deal of emotion and passion which really brought the story to life for me. What happens when two people who hate to fly connect due to a delayed flight thanks to mechanical issues with their plane? Will their fears prompt them to do something they would never normally do? Jax and Paisley characters were easy to relate too and I really liked them. I loved Paisley’s courage in trying to pick Jax up and the way they started to talk. The fun build from there thanks to miss understandings. Well written. I spent most of the listen, smiling and laughing. I will be checking out more books from this author ASAP.

😂 FUNNY AS HELL!

I love to laugh. These two characters had ALL the bad luck. I could just feel their cringes! Of course I knew from the very start what the problem was and have to admit it was a bit unbelievable that it wasn’t figured out sooner. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are one of the best duos for narration. Whew! Funny stuff! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. My review is HONEST. 👍🏻👍🏻 Two Thumbs Up!

Great RomCom & Narration🎧 Enjoyable Delight!

This is a fun RomCom, it is well written with original storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are likable and easy to relate to. Jaxon “Jax” Kay is not a fan of flying, when he finds out his plane home is delayed because of mechanical problems it freaks him out even more. He heads to the bar for a drinks and a bite to eat. Paisley Robins is also nervous about flying she is at the bar and after a failed attempt of hitting on Jax they start to talk. Turns out they are both on the same plane. When the flight is cancelled she books a hotel room and a rental car with plans of getting sleep and then driving home. A thought comes to her to ask Jax back to the hotel with her, just as Jax comes with a proposition for her. They come to an agreement and drive home together. I loved how their story plays out, the hilarious assumptions and misunderstandings, there is never a dull moment with plenty of humor and laugh out loud moments, some drama, angst and a slow burn romance. This is my first book by Ryan Ringbloom and it will not be my last, I enjoyed her writing style and her way with words. Thank you for this great story, the laughs and the smile. I listened to the Audible edition, Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are fabulous narrators and talented voice artists. They bring these characters to life giving each their own voice and personality. Their duet performance enhances the story another level. They were amazing with the dialogue, capturing and landing the humor with perfection. Tor Thom’s portrayal of Jax was spot on, as was Charley Ongel’s Paisley, they sounded as I pictured the characters to be. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

fun read

This was a fun read and it was a bit funny too. It's one thing to strike out once with a girl and to blame whiskey but to strike out twice and blame whiskey when there was no whiskey involved this time? no bueno. It was enjoyable but there were some moments I was wondering where the story was going. It was pretty short and the story wrapped up okay. I felt like it was the right length for the type of story it was. The narrator's did a really great job bringing the characters to life and helping me enjoy the story more.

A short, fun listen

This was an amusing little tale with an unusual premise. The story was short but long enough to let you connect with the characters and become invested in their relationship. The narration was excellent.

FearOf Flying and A Long Road Trip With A Stranger

Jacks hates flying but has to get to NewJersey from Miami A cancelled flight and meeting a pretty, also terrified Flyer heading back to New Jersey becomes a road trip. Both intend a one night stand but an inability, despite attraction, results in hurt feelings and misunderstandings. A cute, amusing story of an eventful 18 hour drive of two people attracted yet saying the wrong thing or having their family members interfere....but the drive is eventful and a very cute ending. Narrators fit the characters and were fun to listen to as the story was brought to life. A good short but fun story! fear of flying leads to...

A fear of flying leads to...a happily ever after. But of course it takes awhile to get there. Some problems and a lot of laughs have this read as a favorite. An incredible read / listen! So much fun - I could not stop laughing! Great story line, great flow - amazing characters and chemistry. I thought the narration was perfect. I am so in love with Jax and Paisley (and I love these names too btw). A quick and easy read that provide the perils of traveling (especially with an attractive stranger)! This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Really funny and steamy!

I laughed a bunch during this read. The compilation of disastrous situations that the H and h found themselves in was absolutely hilarious. From their flight issues to their bedroom issues, it was a never ending disaster. But they figured it out in the end and turned their luck around in a big way! I adored the chemistry and easy banter back and forth between the main characters. Everything felt so effortless between them, well, aside from the bedroom problems! hehe A great story from beginning to end.

Real comedy folks, I laugh so hard

This is the first time I've read this author and OMG she became one of my favorites! I don't usually read Rom-Coms because I don't find them funny, I have almost zero sense of humor for literature. But the author knows how to handle her humor so well that was laughing so hard sometimes, my belly hurt. You need to know this isn't an OTT kinda book, with dramatic plots, twists and - sometimes - unbelievable characters. This story is really down on earth with real situations. Situations you might get yourself into pretty easily. Our characters are flawed and human and do some pretty embarrassing sh*t Lol I ache for Jaxson and his "problem", I would die from embarrassing if it was me dealing with him and would act just like Paisley Lol This was the first time I heard the narrators. Tor Thom has a really deep and growly voice, just the way I like it. His narration help bring up the humor of the story, the pacing was nice and the sentences pronounced very well. Charley Ongel is not my favorite. Her narration wasn't bad per se, just not my taste, a little too theatrical and too sometimes it was supposed to be a funny moment, and she was serious, other times when the moment was serious, she was being funny. I don't know, not my favorite, but not bad either.

Really Funny

I loose the count of how many times I laugh with this book, it was really good, funny, light and pretty easy. The characters are well written and have such a good chemistry between them. If you are looking for a book tat will make you laugh until you cry or your belly hurts, this is it. Besides it's narrated in duet by Tor Thom and Charlie Ongel, so the narration is perfect, you cannot go wrong with them.

Loved everything about this book

I loved everything about this book. Being a Jersey Girl myself, I found myself laughing so hard and nodding my head in agreement with so many different actions and attitudes within the story. Ryan Ringbloom was on target with all the "Jerseyism", which made the characters easy to relate to. Paisley and Jax are an unlikely couple who decide to drive home together. The banter between them just added to their romance. It pulled me in and I could not stop reading until the end. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are the perfect narrating team for this story. Their natural chemistry brought out the fun chemistry between Paisley and Jax. Tor and Charley enhanced the laugh out loud comedy of the book. This narrating team brought this book to life and really made it one of my favorite books of the year. I hope to see more Ryan Ringbloom books narrated by Tor and Charley because this is one amazing trio(narrators and author).

Road Trip!

Whiskey Dick by Ryan Ringbloom is a laugh out loud listen. This story is a great road trip of Jax and Paisley and their start of a new relationship. I loved how Tor Thom and Charley Ongel brought the characters to life with their banter, sexual tension, frustrations and humor. The book has so many standout scenes. I especially loved the ending of the book, when they figured things out.

Pee your pants funny

This was a hilarious story with a sassy and strong heroine and the kind of hero you don't see everyday. The characters were real and the story felt like something that could have happened to a friend, and then that friend was telling you the story. There were some laugh out loud moments and some cringe moments too. If you are looking for a light and fun romcom, this is the book for you.

Fabulous

What made this book so much fun? Is it the hilarious delays, the slight problem that whiskey caused or just a fantastically written book. I think this was all 3. The author has brought it all together in a way that will have you staying up all night just to finish it. The narrators were perfect as well their obvious chemistry worked well here and just added that little bit of perfection
