Publisher's Summary

Where Did I Go Right? is Bernie Brillstein's street-smart, funny, and thoroughly human account of his life in show business. With a trademark wit and candor, Bernie speaks out about a number of celebrities and agents. Among his accounts are those of his feud with Mike Ovitz, his feelings to no longer be the king after passing on the leadership of his company to his partner, Brad Grey, his close relationship with Jim Belushi and Jim Henson, and stories of Gilda Radner and Lorne Michaels during the early days of Saturday Night Live.

Absolutely Loved it!

I was unfamiliar with Bernie and anything having to do with him, Mark Normand recommended this book and I loved the hell out of it! So much history with all kinds of amazing people such as Jim Henson and Belushi! I highly recommend!

Mumble City

"Read by author" is almost always a red flag and it applies here in spades. Brillstein mumbled his way through his career arc, one that offered many interesting stories and vignettes. Had he hired a pro, or had those who produced this book hired one, the experience would have been much better for all involved. Assuming Bernie is no longer with us, so why in the world didn't those in charge do the right thing? Alas. Good have been a rewarding experience.

If You Like Hollywood History, Here You Go!

Would you listen to Where Did I Go Right? again? Why?

Yes. So much history that I could hear it a number of times to put it all to memory.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Where Did I Go Right??

How Bernie was able to adapt his work life as he aged.

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to choose from.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

This book is not the kind of memoir where you probably feel you already know the person so you are listening to enjoy hearing from them. Most people probably do not know about the man behind so many successful actors, movies, and shows. Bernie Brillstein was a Hollywood legend few probably ever heard about. But for those that love Hollywood and want to know what it was like, how it happened, and who was responsible, this is the book for you!!
