Publisher's summary

Becky rocks a baby that rocked her world. Sixty years earlier, with her fiancé, Drew, in the middle of the Korean Conflict, Ivy throws herself into her work at a nursing home to keep her sanity and provide for the child Drew doesn't know is coming. Ivy cares for Anna, an elderly patient who taxes Ivy's listening ear until the day she suspects Anna's tall tales are not the ramblings of dementia. They're fragments of Anna's disjointed memories of a remarkable life. Finding a faint thread of hope she can't resist tugging, Ivy records Anna's memoir, scribbling furiously after hours to keep up with the woman's emotion-packed, grace-hemmed stories. Is Ivy's answer buried in Anna's past? Becky, Ivy, Anna - three women fight a tangled vine of deception in search of the blossoming simplicity of truth.

Another heartfelt inspiring story

Cynthia Ruchti has become my favorite author these past few months. This is my third audible book by her. Each was performed by talented well chosen readers. I was sad to reach the end. I wanted to know more about the women and their journeys. You will reminisce with them through their familiar female roles.

Time line

Took me a little bit to follow the time line switches but once I did could not wait to see how they all would connect . Listened to it twice in a row and loved the second time more !!!

Wonderful book

Cynthia Ruchti has written a unique book that tells the stories of three main women characters but in doing so she tells the stories of so many others as well. Her writing brings you into their lives so that you see and feel the events along with the characters. She inspires and motivates the reader with her gracious prose. Highly recommend this book.

Oh my heart ❤

This story! I loved the references to God, His forgiveness and the truth that we are all flawed but we can each make a difference.

Tough but worth it read

I was born in 1979 to a single mother with very religious grandparents, so toys book hit a little different for me. It was a tough pill to swallow at times. However, I can testify to the amazing grace of God that is woven throughout this story.
