When they came

I loved this book! The aliens are 'Coyotes'.They came,they harvested humans and they kill the rest. A few places remain with sentries on the walls.Anname grows to be a sentry.She is bitten by a Coyote and it changes herlife. Krys Janae was a terrific narrator! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.' 

Great listen

Great story, there was a lot of action and twists in the story. The narrator did a great job. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next story

I need more. What a cliff hanger!

I loved this book. I can't wait for the next one. it was a masterpiece.

Great first book in the series!

I really enjoyed this first book even though there was a lot of character and world building. At least, now that this is out of the way, we can get to the action ;-) This book does have plenty of action in it, though. So if that is what you are looking for, read this book. I will definitely check out the next book in the series.

What a surprise!!

I received a free audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have to tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not know what to expect (I tend to feel this way when they are free-a bias I apparently have) but it was good. There were a few irritating parts with the narration but I am over that now-just a few words were pronounced weird but honestly I cannot even recall the words now. I continued with the series so that says something for my interest level!

New take on aliens

I really enjoyed this book. The hardships the characters went through and still doing what has to be done. can't wait to read book 2

Exciting Tale

This is an interesting alien invasion story. Kody Boye put his own spin on the story focusing more on the characters than the aliens. In this way, the first book in the series is about humanity and how we adapt.
The narrator did a good job telling the story. She was animated as needed as needed and somber when it was required. Krys Janae truly brought Ana Mia to life.
I enjoyed the story created. Boye wrestles with the ideas of what we do as a family and what we do as a county, a world, Ana Mia is split between them both when she joins the Midnight Guard. Her life becomes even more complicated when she is attacked by one of the coyotes, one of the extraterrestrials that have overrun the world.
The end sets up for an exciting second book that expands on the aliens and I can’t wait to listen to it.

A great beginning.

The author and narrator did a great job. I want to know what happens next!

It’s a great start.

The blurb caught my attention and decided to give it a try. If you enjoy dystopian genre I think you will enjoy this book especially if you sprinkle some alien invasion into the mix.
This story follows Ana who has decided to join The Midnight Guard. This story had some interesting points but the writing at times that the author chose to deceive certain scenes would take me away from the story and leave me wondering on her choice of words. I’m no writer but it did break my concentration. I liked how this book was clean. No cuss words. This book does end in a cliffhanger.
I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator was okay. When saying words in spanish she pronounced them fine.

Summary:

This was a fast paced and riveting audiobook and I for one can’t wait to find out what happens next.
