Story
At the age of 27, Whitney Dafoe was forced to give up his life as a photographer who traveled the world. Story
Well Aware offers a timely take on the leadership issues that businesses face when it comes to the threat of hacking. Finney argues that cybersecurity is not a technology problem; it’s a people problem. Cybersecurity should be understood as a series of nine habits that should be mastered - literacy, skepticism, vigilance, secrecy, culture, diligence, community, mirroring, and deception - drawn from knowledge the author has acquired during two decades of experience in cybersecurity. By implementing these habits and changing our behaviors, we can combat most security problems.

Story
As dusk approaches a small Dublin suburb in the summer of 1984, mothers begin to call their children home. But on this warm evening, three children do not return from the dark and silent woods. When the police arrive, they find only one of the children gripping a tree trunk in terror, wearing blood-filled sneakers, and unable to recall a single detail of the previous hours. Twenty years later, the found boy, Rob Ryan, is a detective on the Dublin Murder Squad and keeps his past a secret.

Publisher's Summary
A memoir of a healthy young man who survives a fatal car crash only to be plagued by a mysterious illness that robs him of the ability to walk, talk, and eat solid food. When Force Meets Fate is a captivating, transcendent survival story that forces all of us to reckon with our mortality and the fragility of life.
At age 22, Jamison Hill was a fitness instructor who could lift more than 400 pounds. Five years later, after surviving a tragic car accident that killed the other driver, a rare disease left Jamison bedridden and too weak to hold a water glass. He spent every day lying motionless in bed, his body paralyzed by pain and fatigue, his mind hijacked by flashes of crunched metal, broken windshields, and exploding gas tanks.
After months of not being able to speak or eat, Jamison's health finally improved and he began to tell his story. When Force Meets Fate is an unflinching exploration of the human condition, notably how our strengths and limitations shape our identities and how unexpected events can inevitably alter our perceptions.
It's a story of perseverance - of sheer will and unrelenting fight - but also of overcoming life's toughest challenges through the power of vulnerability and how freeing it can be to surrender to the unpredictability of circumstances out of our control.

Heart wrenching!
Wow! This is a heartbreaker on so many levels. I felt like I was there through the authors struggles and while I have never walked in his shoes I certainly felt as if I tried them on by reading the book and now listening to the audio version. I hope he keeps finding the strength to keep going and to keep writing. What an inspiration!

Not G-rated!
Definately written from the view point of a 20-something ex-body builder, but still VERY relatable as a mostly-bedridden ME patient myself. A really great read for those who don't mind some colorful language/themes.

Powerful, riveting, moving
This is a riveting, brave account of a young man's battle to survive. Eloquently written and engaging. I was routing for Jamieson all the way through. It is an astonishing testament of survival from utterly desolate times. But it is much more that; it is a story of hope and love and never giving up. Jamison's true spirit shines through, even when, at times, it is diminished to a tiny flicker in the darkness. Never give up.
