Wow! What an amazing, relatable story

The language choice was like a Wether’s Original Caramel. The words rolled around in my mind, gathering deeper flavor with every turn. I woke up thinking about this story one morning. Excellent read.

Recognition

This is a necessary read for anyone who has worn hats as mother, caregiver, and wife all at once. I connected instantly as Lang spilled her raw truths surrounding pregnancy and motherhood. Maya’s account of her relationship with her mother is incredible, especially as her mom’s Alzheimer’s comes to the forefront of her life and home, and as she makes the toughest decisions imaginable. I lost count of how many times I found myself saying “I know!”, or “Me too!” Just beautiful, cover to cover.

Honest and deep

I loved the book. Author's honest and deep insights are extraordinary. Author describes the meaning beyond the said words in a beuatiful way. Author narrating the story, is a big plus for me.

I could hardly turn this book off! It is so insightful, thought provoking, and culturally interesting. Well performed, too! Highly recommended for all moms and daughters.

Simple but elegant story.

I absolutely love that the author narrated this herself. I honestly don't know how she made it through without crying more often, though... ( I am assuming she had to stop at times.) I know I was moved to tears several times. Beautiful, real, true to life story that was a pleasure to listen to on my day off. Whether I was taking a stroll, lounging about, or doing some household chores, I had this story to keep me company today, and I felt better after hearing it. It seemed to not only allow me a peek into this very personal journey but also challenged me to question the stories about my own journey as well.
