Publisher's summary

A New York Times, USA Today, and Indie best seller!

Critically acclaimed and best-selling authors Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera combine their talents in this smart, funny, heartfelt collaboration about two very different boys who can’t decide if the universe is pushing them together - or pulling them apart.

Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.

Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.

But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?

Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.

Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.

But what if they can’t nail a first date even after three do-overs?

What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?

What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?

But what if it is?

What if it’s us?

Plus don't miss Yes No Maybe So, Becky Albertalli's and Aisha Saeed's heartwarming and hilarious new novel, or Infinity Son, the first installment in Adam Silvera’s epic new fantasy series, both coming in 2020!

Not bad

It was a good, cute book. While not on the level of Aristotle and Dante or The Vast Fields of Ordinary, I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

The narration made it a better book

This was such a fun book to read. I laugh so much at so many times. I was alternating the audiobook and the paperback. If I have to choose one, it would be the audiobook. The narrators made an amazing job. I particularly liked Arthur’s part of the narration but both were really nice.

I loved how charming Arthur and Ben were, they were so fun, sweet, maybe a bit immature but I get it was good for the story so it was fine. The romance between them was lovely. It goes a bit slow without being boring. It was easy to keep the attention the whole time, especially while listening to it because I truly believe the narrator gave the perfect voices and emotions to them.

The plot is cute. A little expected and it isn’t free of conflict. There were a few times when it was frustrating, mostly because of miscommunication but in general it was entertaining.

I did had a few issues with it. First, I don’t think there is clear in the book description the age of the main characters. I was expecting them to be a lot older than they actually were, which was bothersome but I get used to. They are 16 and 17. Second, there were a few moments when it was a little slow paced and I lost interest but those were very few and I found out I lack such moments when I was listening to it instead of reading it and the last thing I didn’t really liked was the ending. It felt underwhelming compare to how charming the book have been, but other than that I really loved reading it.

Absolutely adorable.

Such a great YA novel. So much thought went into creating the 2 worlds and heating it from each protagonists perspective is amazing. I’m really enjoying Becky Albertalli books.

A Perfect Summer Read

Lots of laughs, many a tear, and much reminiscing of what being young and early dating was like. I didn’t realize this was for the youth market and thoroughly enjoyed it as a senior gay man! Noah’s performance was 5+ throughout and unfortunately Froy’s performance was hit and miss with the majority being unconnected. None the less, the story, pace, and overall performance carried the day for an enjoyable listen. A sequel would be appreciated!

Two great writers, but story can be dull

I have so many mixed opinions on this book. Let me start by saying I love and I mean LOVE Adam and Becky. Each of their characters are so uniquely them and it’s incredible. However, no offense to Noah Galvin but I found his performance a bit too “much” at times. It seemed like 80% of the time he was freaking out dramatically over things that weren’t dramatic. The story is adorable, and I actually admire the ending. Adam has a way with endings that don’t usually leave me very happy..but I have to admit this one was logical, and just beautiful. Together these two are even better and the witty banter and small pop culture references are cool. There’s times when it gets a little slow, but if you hang in there it gets better! It’s worth the wait.

Loved it!!!!!

Adam Silvera is one of my favorite authors, and Simon vs. the Homosapien Agenda is one of my favorite books, so naturally I had to read this one! I haven’t had a lot of time to read lately because of school, but this audiobook version was PERFECT. The story was written beautifully, and Galvin and Gutierrez did so well making it come to life :)

Excellent, gave me all sort of feelings

The book took me down memory lane with my first love. It reminds me of the angst, doubtfulness I have when meeting a cute person, but also all the bold actions I take to create new moments. I definitely relate to Arthur more than Ben. The book brought me tears, laughter, and chills; I couldn't stop listening.
