Great for Insomnia

This was my introduction to Louise Hay's audiobooks and I was pleasantly surprised. I knew she was a mistress of affirmations, but what I was looking for was "Deep Relaxation." Before that section, she gives a brief overview of her philosophy. I found it more agreeable that I was expecting. I often fall asleep before the end of the Deep Relaxation portion, which was just what I was looking for. I have listened to this every night for the last three weeks, and they've been some of the easiest, most optimistic weeks I've had in years. Maybe just the result of good sleep. Maybe something more?

Excellent

This recording is perfect for daily reminders of the most important things in ife. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the quality of sound in the recording. It's obviously an earlier recording that hasn't been updated. However the information inside is great!

Excellent Self-help when you need something quick

Where does What I Believe and Deep Relaxation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Louise Hay has such a soothing voice and makes you feel like you really can take the steps to heal yourself. This 30 minute audio book is in two parts. The first part is a 15 minute session on changing your thoughts so you can feel better about yourself. The second part is a relaxation session. I use both parts daily. I have started using the affirmations from this audio every day. This is a very simple way to get unstuck from negative thought patterns.

succinct and lovely

It is a nice meditation to listen to while thinking about life and relaxing. The author summaries and presents her ideas well.

Wonderful

Louise is the mother I never had. I love her voice and if you really listen over and over, together with taking on board what she says, it can be very effective. It's hypnotherapy done very well indeed and I'm a trained hypnotherapist so have quite a good idea about this. Like anything in life you have to want it. If you want what she describes enough it will work for you. Just give the repetition enough time - at least six weeks and then some.

Gentle thinking

What made the experience of listening to What I Believe and Deep Relaxation the most enjoyable?

This is so relevant to life, it reminds me that what I think is what I get. It recommends kindness and consideration but without being OTT.

Any additional comments?

I love the gentleness of this book and all its teaching are those to which I aspire. I also find it deeply relaxing.

Best audio book I know

Just listen to this audio book, just do with an open mind, it WILL improve your life no matter how good or bad your life is now
