Publisher's summary

For millennia, the Passover celebration has held so much meaning for the Jews, but other faiths are just beginning to grasp the depth of its significance.

For modern-day Christians, who may be celebrating at home or at church, it is the Last Supper Jesus had with his disciples before giving his life for humanity. Nevertheless, some fundamental questions about the celebration still trouble Christians. They include: Why should such an ancient custom matter to us? What is the proper way of observing this day? How can Jews and Christians work together to honor this occasion?

Popular speaker and religious writer Rabbi Evan Moffic now seeks to answer these and other essential questions about the Passover in his audiobook What Every Christian Needs to Know About Passover. A frequent speaker at churches large and small across the world, Rabbi Moffic brings a unique voice to Christian listeners.

Indeed, the depth of understating regarding the Last Supper that he brings to this work will completely alter how Christians prepare for Easter and mark Communion. If you are a modern Christian who seeks to deepen your understanding of the faith you practice, this audiobook has it all.

Listened to it twice

I’m a Christian born of a non-practicing Jewish mother. Yesterday I was looking at my calendar and noted that Passover was in two days and on a whim decided it would be fun to celebrate and reconnect with my heritage. I sent out the invites then googled “how to celebrate Passover?” “What is Seder?” “How to pronounce Seder?” I very quickly realized Passover’s not really a whim kind of holiday and in serious trouble found Evan Moffics’ wonderful book. I enjoyed it so much I bought it on kindle as well.

All of my questions were answered. I listened while at the grocery store picking up my matzah. I listened while cleaning out my oven and hunting for hametz in the couch cushions. In the future I’ll probably take the traditional 30 days to prep because I didn’t have time to find a Seder plate and I’m wrecked from the cleaning and meal prep. Who knew that’s where spring cleaning came from? I feel closer to God and to my culture after reading this book. I’m excited to host my first Seder tomorrow please pray for me.

Barry Adams is an incredible narrator. 10/10 on the sound check and entertainment value.
