Helpful content but painful to listen to

The first few chapters were so frustrating- the narrator reading “http://.....” or “www....”- and addresses that are 15 words reading “dash” between every word.... this is supposed to be an updated version and reading these parts of web addresses is completely unnecessary and really annoying and totally tuned those out- provide an index and skip the monotony of all this detail already. Otherwise, helpful content for the new jobseeker- starting my search process and good tips and reminders. I would love a different style of narration.

Some useful points

There are some useful and good points. Overall there are definitely things to learn, however the book needs to be updated and there's a whole chapter on Christianity, which although is a nice message, contrasts and doesn't fit in with this books theme.

A great book for self-discovery

A very informative guide of self-discovery and creative ways to find a job in today's job market. Although a little dry in some spots, I would definitely recommend to this book. By performing the flower exercise you really get a sense of what your purpose in life is and where and how you will do your best work.

Worst Narration I’ve ever heard

It sounds like this is being read by a robot. Horrible voice and no inflection - definitely not motivating or even tolerable. I’m going to try to get my money back.

Narrator’s voice

I love Richard Nelson Bolles’ books. I was delighted to see it offered as an audio book. My preferred learning style is auditory. I barely got through the first chapter before turning the audio off. For me there was minimal inflection in his voice. There was no passion behind the words. I have heard Richard Bolles on audio and I could feel his passion.

Useless

Just another "you can be whatever you want" book. Depsite the date on the cover, this is not applicable to the job market of today. As if any serious job hunter hasn't already tried all of the rubbish in this book. The author has done nothing but repackage common sense advice to take advantage of the desperate job seeker. You will not find anything in this book that any other guru or self proclaimed job wizard hasn't already said before. It was infuriating to listen to.

Career advice from a guy born in 1927 - brilliant.

Terrible

It is terribly written, the points are obvious and not insightful at. Definitely would not recommend.
