Painful to Listen

The narrator sounds like a computer. It is painful to listen to! I had a hard time even processing the content because it was so difficult to listen.

Will be ordering as a physical book

This seems like an excellent handbook for those looking to change careers or get started in life, but you really need the words and visuals alongside one another to get the full picture! The narrator had a strange affect that made it difficult to follow in the audio version, and it was irritating to hear him spell out letter-by-letter the MANY URL-links listed as references in the first chapters. Also, there are many wonderful diagrams referenced in the text that are basically impossible to imagine unless you have them in front of you. Save some time, and just buy the book + accompanying workbook!

Helpful content but painful to listen to

The first few chapters were so frustrating- the narrator reading “http://.....” or “www....”- and addresses that are 15 words reading “dash” between every word.... this is supposed to be an updated version and reading these parts of web addresses is completely unnecessary and really annoying and totally tuned those out- provide an index and skip the monotony of all this detail already. Otherwise, helpful content for the new jobseeker- starting my search process and good tips and reminders. I would love a different style of narration.

Not a good audio book

If you want to buy this book just get the hard cover. its way to difficult to do the extra activities by just listening and the performance sounded like a robot.

Narrator’s voice

I love Richard Nelson Bolles’ books. I was delighted to see it offered as an audio book. My preferred learning style is auditory. I barely got through the first chapter before turning the audio off. For me there was minimal inflection in his voice. There was no passion behind the words. I have heard Richard Bolles on audio and I could feel his passion.

Worst Narration I’ve ever heard

It sounds like this is being read by a robot. Horrible voice and no inflection - definitely not motivating or even tolerable. I’m going to try to get my money back.
