Jolly good!

Great writing again but some of the story lines weren't as entertaining as Series 1. Julian Rhind Tutt is missed as the Field Commander. But an enjoyable series in its own right!

Great sci-if, comedy romp!

Just as funny as the first series and I hope they make more. Sadly, Charles Edwards voices Field Commander Uljabaan in this series, rather than Julian Rhind-Tutt. Edwards is good, but his inflections lack the gleeful mischief of Rhind-Tutt's delivery. Still the rest of the cast is brilliant and the writing sparkles.

Hilarious

When it has been raining all day, and you are moody, this show cheers you up and makes you laugh. Every episode was equally funny. I would recommend this audio book to every one. It is worth the credit twice over.

Entertaining

Definitely better than the first series, nicely observed spin on village life, and worth it for the pub quiz episode alone.

2 series are just not enough

How is this little BBC gem not a huge global mega-hit? It's just superb. For a little-known series of half-hour episodes, it really punches above its weight. Well written, well acted, and very, very funny. The characters are likeable, and the world they inhabit is engaging.

More of this, please, BBC.

It's okay, just not as good as the first series

The first series was funny and charming. Sadly, the jokes are rather tired in the second one. Julian Rhind-Tutt's absence is felt.

Wonderful storyline, shame about cast change

Loved both series, however it was a shame that Julian Rhind-Tutt did not get to play Field Commander Uljabaan in the second. He played the role perfectly.

Fun listening!

Clever story line....shame there were only two series but better to stop before the village scenarios became stale.

Great Fun

We really enjoyed this comedy series. The comic references came thick and fast with every turn in the storyline so you have to listen closely or you might miss them. The live audience were obviously in fits at times. an absolute delight.

Not as good as series one

The second series was nowhere near as good as the first. The plots were stodgy and too contrived.
