Publisher's summary

When you're organizing a wedding, there are many points of etiquette that should be considered. Even if you're not usually the type of person to follow etiquette and guidelines, it's important that, for your wedding, you bear in mind that it is not just you who needs to be happy with the event - you want your family and other guests to enjoy the day too. By conforming to etiquette, you can ensure that everyone has an assigned role and knows what they are doing on your big day so that the event goes as smoothly as possible.

Wedding Etiquette Guide: An Essential Guide Book For The Most Memorable Wedding Celebration will look at the different points of etiquette that you should follow, beginning from the time that you get engaged, right through to sending out thank-you notes after you return from your honeymoon. It will provide a breakdown of who should be responsible for which duties in the planning stages of the wedding, as well as on the big day itself. It will also look at what happens in the unlikely event that you need to call off your wedding at the last minute because your relationship does not work out.

Once you have read this book, you will have a much better idea of what you should and shouldn't be doing in the preparations for your wedding. Of course, that doesn't mean that you don't have any control over the way that your wedding is held, but it does give you a foundation on which you can base your wedding planning and will ensure that all your guests are left with fond memories of a happy day spent with loved ones.

Use this book as a checklist at each stage of your wedding planning and, before long, you will be looking forward to your wedding day knowing that you have done everything you can to make it the best day of your life.

Ridiculously Old-fashioned

If you are a straight fundamentalist Christian couple, this book is for you. Words matter. So does choice.

If you've never been to a wedding this might help

Very basic info, I've only been to two weddings in my life and I could have told you almost ever thigh this book did. If you need a basic out line of key points then it will help but if you looking for details don't bother.

Such a helpful guide on wedding etiquette

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would absolutely recommend this audio-book to a friend. The main reason is the fact that I think that my friends would benefit for the information provided in this book. I was very confused on what is appropriate and what is considered rude/inappropriate when it comes to weddings. This book really gave me a good insight on wedding etiquette and I think that all of my friends would think so as well.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for some insight into wedding etiquette. Sam Siv has provided tons of useful information and Maureen McLain has beautifully narrated all of that information in a way that makes it easy to follow. This is definitely a must have.

Wedding Etiquette - The Do's and Don'ts

Would you consider the audio edition of Weddings:Wedding Etiquette Guide to be better than the print version?

While I enjoyed the tone set by the audio edition of Weddings: Wedding Etiquette Guide, I enjoyed the print version just as much and think they both guide you in making the right decisions regarding wedding etiquette.

What does Maureen McLain bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Maureen McLain sets the appropriate tone for this Wedding Etiquette guide and the smile in her voice is infectious. You don't get that from reading a book.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Weddings:Wedding Etiquette Guide?

The main thing that I learned from this guide was not to place all the responsibility on one person - such as the Maid of Honor or Mother of the Bride.

Any additional comments?

Talk about your essential book on wedding etiquette...this is it. This book covers everything from who should pay for what to speeches to destination weddings. As a future bride, I found this book very enlightening. I learned what I was doing right, and what I wasn't. It is very well written and easy to understand. Definitely a MUST-READ for anyone planning a wedding; or just anyone who may plan one in the future.
