Weddings Can Be Murder

Beatrix Cortland and Bronwyn McIntosh may have completed their year-long appointments as Visiting Instructors at Ohio University in June 1987, but that didn’t mean the end of their friendship; however, the reality of working in different schools meant their communications consisted primarily of 11:00 p.m. phone calls or scribbled handwritten letters. Therefore, the two friends looked forward to being bridesmaids in the wedding of their former colleague, Suki Barnes, to Johnny Cash Dain at his farm on Saturday, October 31. The Celtic wedding theme of Samhain sounded intriguing, but mainly Bea and Bronwyn wanted to celebrate with Suki and Johnny. Having a chance to catch up on each other’s lives in person was also a benefit. What they didn’t expect was to become involved in another mystery that threatened their friend’s happiness.
