Excellent

So much to learn from a remarkable women in the 30 year span of life in the UAE. The author used different accents to portray the individuals in Cindy’s life as she grew among people she loved. An excellent listen.

Loved this unique and wonderful memoir

This important book shares the life of a remarkable woman as she moves through her life from a devout Southern Christian upbringing through falling in love with a Muslim man and choosing a life in the middle East. Her story is real , and I truly enjoyed her journey! She meets the many obstacles with an open mind and positive attitude and resourcefulness that leaves me smiling and in awe. I would love to meet her some day!
The author's reading is wonderfully nuanced and true to the story, and her voice is pleasant and engaging. What a fantastic story, whether read or listened. Very highly recommended to anyone who wants to see a new view with an engaging guide.
