Disappointing at best
Would you try another book from Jacqueline Druga and/or Darren Ziegler?
Disappointing mini-book after listening to the longer and much more exciting prequile, Then Came War, first. Did not care for the name change of the main character from the prequile; and, the change in narrrators only added to the discontinuity.
What could Jacqueline Druga have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
She could have put more effort into the entire storyline.
How could the performance have been better?
The narrator sounded as boring as this audiobook proved to be. Given the lifelessness of the storyline itself he may have done the best with the material he had before him. However, he sounded as though he was reading to children, not to an adult audience.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Wasteland?
I would have thrown it back to the author and told her it was not a book, but only part 1, and to better develop the storyline.

Good story, needs a different narrator
Refreshing premise to the story. Still curious as to what the treasure was. I liked the story I just feel it needs a different narrator.
