Publisher's summary

Erin Hunter’s number-one best-selling Warriors series continues with the third audiobook in the Vision of Shadows arc!

ShadowClan has fallen. A group of rogues now rules the pine forest, and their cruel leader, Darktail, will not stop until he has conquered the rest of the Clans. Alderheart is more certain than ever their only hope is to find the lost SkyClan and fulfill StarClan’s prophecy - before Darktail’s vicious reign puts an end to the warrior Clans forever.

Full of epic adventure and thrilling intrigue, this fifth Warriors series is the perfect introduction for listeners new to the Warriors world - while for dedicated fans, it’s a long-awaited return to the era of Bramblestar’s ThunderClan, after the events of Omen of the Stars.

An interesting problem

They did not include the prologue as a prologue, so all the chat numbers were off.

Great Story, Poor Narration

The story was great, definitely dark however considering this is supposed to be for younger people. But I enjoyed it as an adult.

Narrator really put me off the entire story. He gave old cranky voices to cats that weren’t even that old and goofy voices to other cat or odd tilted female voices. I couldn’t completely immerse myself in the story, even in serious scenes, because of the narrator.

Another awesome Warriors book!

This particular Warriors book was amazing. I love the entirety of all the series, but this happened to be one of my favorites. The emotional aspect was a bit deeper than a lot of the other books. There was a lot of detail that went into it, too, it was pretty intricate. I definitely recommend.

Wow

I love this book by far the best. It’s still sad because needle tail and one star died speaking of which DARK-TAIL IS ONE-STARS SON!?!?!?!?!?! What the heck i also can’t believe that hawk wing is twig paw and violet paws FATHER???!!! Also I love that sky clan came back as a clan. I wonder where sky-clan is going to stay?? Let’s go sky clan the tree droppers 😆 my favorite character is probably twig paw SHES SO CUTE. I love the warrior books that have the enemy’s killed or driven out of the clan territories. I love this book by far the best so far. GO Macleod andrew nice voices

Excellent, but very dark

This review is just to give a heads up to families of multi-ages listening to Warriors as an audiobook. Some of the darkest scenes in this book are too intense for younger listeners, in my opinion. The pure evil of Darktail is reminiscent of recent terrorist new stories. It's a lot for younger kids, and frankly for adults who are sensitive to those connections. All that being said, it shouldn't scare off any Warriors loyalists.

spoiler alert

Finally, in a series about a clan which never appeared in the last two books, the time has come to add skyclan into the four (or now five) clans. I think this was a pretty sad book but it also had two genius twists : hawking being twigpaw and violetpaw's father, and dartail being onestar's son (and about how sad it was, this doesn't even compare to dawn). And it's also nice to get rid of dartail.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK

Literally, this is my favorite book in the WHOLE OF WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!!! Why do I say this, I know some people would call me a “young listener” but I was reading full on graphic novels at 5! And now I’m 8! And I handle violence reallllyyyyy well! Anyways, to why I like this book so much, it’s so exciting! I love the plots and secrets! I’m going to spoil them below so stop right there!

1: Onestar is Darktail’s father, and Onestar ends up killing his own son, while his life went too.
2: This is one of my favorite parts: The battle, I love how all 5 Clans used their strengths, speed, stealth, leap, swim, and stalk.
3: The way cats give their lives! Like Needleclaw, who let herself be killed to save Violetpaw!
Those are all! Thanks for reading! <3 ❤️

review on a vision of Shadows book 3

1. this book was highest wrote.
and I already have this feeling that this will be my favorite series! also I'm so glad twigpaw & violetpaw found their father hawkwing but I wish pebbleshine didn't die
& I'm super glad that mistystar
got her taritory back! but also I'm shocked
that darktail was onestars son.

2. Questions
which clan would you have liked to live in?
which cat would you have liked to be?
who was your favorite leader?

Beetlewhisker?....

I'm a major fan of the series from beginning to end and decided to try out the audio versions.

I am only noticing now and am slightly confused as to why, in Chapter 9, Beetlewhisker from Riverclan is mentioned when he was killed by Brokenstar after trying to denounce and leave the Dark Forest....
It's not the first time he's mentioned either, along with a few other dead cats.
