Slow but good

It was a bit slower than I would have preferred but creative and well done

At Last

Any additional comments?

Have been hoping this series would be done in audiobook format. An all time favorite. A real treat to hear this, and with the wonderful Susan Ericksen narrating. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Wonderful love story

I love the narrator. Excellent job of differentiating the characters and perfect emotional expression. I expected more fantasy elements. This could almost be a historical fictional romance. I love the various characters. They feel real and ik definitely invested in seeing what happens next.

Great story

I read this many years ago, and I was excited to experience this story through audiobook. I was a little annoyed that the narrator sounded so much older than Lara. But as the story went on I forgot about that and fell into her words.

Hot strong leader.

What made the experience of listening to Warprize the most enjoyable?

It was not just about sex, it had a slow burn, but it had a story with strong characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Warprize?

When the lady discovered she was actually a prize.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

Her voice was natural, no sing song type voice. She did good changing voices to male.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, ran through it fast.

Any additional comments?

I will listen to this one again. Waiting for the next book in the series.

Good start to series

I found out about Warprize from a book group on Facebook. It was recommended in comparison to Golden Dynasty and Captive of the Horde. I loved both of those books so I had to try this. After reading it, it's defininetly a good comparison while still feeling like it's own book.

The heroine is a strong woman who doesn't frighten easily. She has royal blood but spends her time as a healer. I liked her. This is one of those rare moments where I can say that I have absolutely no complaints where the heroine is concerned. I think she handled every situation with spirit and grace.

The hero is the Warlord. He's a fierce fighter, leader and what you would consider an alpha male. The only thing that felt a bit out of character for him was that he was dominant in everything except the heroine. For being a warlord, you expect him to just take what he wants. He even says he does, but that never really held true when it came to the heroine.

Don't get me wrong, I still very much enjoyed this book and enjoyed Kier as the hero. I just wish he did a few things differently with the heroine and that would have pushed this into a favorite re-read for me.

This doesn't exactly end on a cliffhanger, however you do know there is more to the story. I didn't do my research and I thought this was a standalone book. That's ok for me because I am curious if Keir will be more to character with the heroine considering how this ended.

I thought this book was pretty entertaining

I read this book in a couple of days and had no real issues on the storyline. It was a little difficult thinking that the heroine in the story The Others she was less than she was but in some stories and actually in some real life situations we have a tendency of belittling ourselves, so it could happen. All in all a pretty decent story,
considering how many books I've read it was good enough to keep my attention

I have waited 10 years for this book.

When I found this book, I immediately bought it. About a year ago I asked EV if there would be an audiobook, and she said, maybe someday. Someday has come! I can't believe I didn't know about this when it first came out.

So, when I started listening to this book I was actually mad and hated the narrator choice. I at first thought the voice of Lara sounded too old. I thought, how dare you ruin one of my favorite books with a bad narrator choice. Why would you do that? But then, I let the story play on and I got use to voice of Susan and I was ok with it. I would of still liked a younger voice, but it didn't ruin one of my top favorite books of all time.

If you are a historical romance reader or fantasy one, you'll enjoy this book. There is just something about it that captures you and makes you want to read this book over and over. This series is amazing and takes you on an epic emotional adventure. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I have over the years.

I have read this story many times.

I was thinking about it and decided to purchase as an audible. I think I enjoyed it even more! Picking up more details! This is a well written tale. Full of riveting culture, Simmering romance, swords and knives and of course, lots of plot twists an turns.
