Publisher's summary

I never imagined my new roommate would be the man I’d actually fall for. Though I don’t get close to the people I sleep with, he’s been my exception. Archer acts emotionally unavailable while he focuses on starting over, but our connection is too strong to ignore.

He’s rugged on the outside and sweet on the inside - the opposite of my usual type. I see the way his eyes gaze up and down my body, making it harder to keep my feelings in check. Knocking down his walls is no easy task, especially with my brother interfering, but I refuse to give up.

When lines are crossed and emotions bubble over, trouble finds us. We both have pasts that have leaked into our present - now I’m scared it’ll destroy the one secret we’ve been keeping.

Wanting You Close is Book Two in the Archer and Everleigh duet, and must be listened to in order.

love can survive anything

Archer and Everleigh have the best chemistry and I absolutely love the banter between them! the care and support they show is wonderful! so sad saying goodbye to the Lawton Ridge Duet series, but definitely plan to visit them all again by listening to the whole series again soon!

Tor Thom and Lia Langola really bring Archer and Everleigh to life.

Perfect Conclusion!

When Kennedy Fox writes a duet, they write a duet that leaves you wanting more after the first one. We had a jaw dropping cliffhanger with “Forcing You Away” which had me wanting more. The suspense and steam was brought in this story. We get the answers that were so desperately needed from the first book.

Archer and Everleigh are absolutely hot together and might be the hottest couple since Travis and Viola in “Checkmate Duet” series. Archer is a sweet guy with a very protective streak that I loved. He has a dirty mouth that had me fanning myself as I read it.

Everleigh has grown so much from the other books in the series and she’s become a favorite. Independent, doesn’t apologise for what she wants and keeps Archer on his toes. These two went through a lot in such a short time. And the epilogue made me so happy.

I’m sad that all their stories have been told but they are all instant rereads for me. I’m looking forward to the next series Kennedy Fox will write. No doubt it will be just as steamy and wonderful.

Lia Langola and Tor Thom have made this series even more amazing with their performances. They have brought every character even more to life.

Really enjoyed this duet

I loved Archer and Everleigh’s story. The two are great together with chemistry. They both have pasts that may be trying to destroy their future. Also they have to tell her brother Tyler about their feelings for each other. Great conclusion I fully enjoyed this read.

The constant feels between these two....

Narrators Lia Langola and Tor Thom does it again! The conclusion of Archer and Everleigh's story did not disappoint. We were left with a cliffy that has us readers wanting more stat! The the constant unknowns throughout their journey kept us on our toes. Regardless of what they were facing their relationship continued to grow into something more; however, the the challenge of being on the down low is not an easy feat. Since the start they were both forewarned that they are off limits to each other. That is becoming harder the more they get to know each other and the closer they get.

Their story was full of angst, intense chemistry, mystery, and suspense. You think you know but then something else comes up that has you wondering. Author Kennedy Fox knows their readers and enjoys to take us on a ride. Archer will have you swooning many times over and Everleigh was a woman that you cannot help but easily fall for. Their banter with one another was too cute. It was a sweet ending and sooo looking forward to more from these duo authors.

You’ll be rooting for these two until the very end!

Wanting You Close is Book 2 in Archer & Everleigh’s Duet in Kennedy Fox’s Lawton Ridge Duet Series. It picks up right where the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers in Forcing You Away left off.

It’s so hard to review this one without being spoilery so I’ll just say this: KF knows how to write suspense, and they really packed a punch with this duet. Archer and Everleigh’s HEA is hard fought and well deserved. This couple endures so much in such a short time span and their relationship only strengthens through each obstacle they overcome. You’ll be rooting for these two until the very end.

Tor and Lia nailed Archer and Everleigh’s characters in their narrations and truly did an amazing job bringing this couple to life.

What an ending

Well, I sure hated to see this series come to an end but as always, these ladies delivered a superb ending.
I loved this couple so much and all that they went through to find happiness. Lots of things from Archer’s past will put a hurt on their relationship. Everleigh slowly lets her guard down and starts to fall even harder for Archer but will she be safe in his arms.

Lia Langola and Tor Thom have won me over with this series. You couldn’t have asked them for any better performance. This is one series definitely worth reading/listening to. It is a must for your collection and worth the credit. I was honored to receive a copy of this audible version and I am freely leaving my honest review.

Amazing

I didn’t think this duet could get more hectic. But it just does. Everleigh and Archer when are they going to catch a break.

Everleigh is freaking amazing. After everything she has been through she’s just this strong and badass women who wont let anything get her down. And Archer #sigh… No words. Strong, sweet, romantic and man he is freaking sexy 😊

Everything about this ending to the duet was awesome. The love, the suspense, the intrigue, the romance, the steamy and sexy times everything captured me. I think Everleigh and Archer are my favorite couple 😊

The narrator, Tor Thom definitely suited Archer to perfection and Lia was amazing for Everleigh. This is one audio that I will not get tired of listening to ❤❤

What a great ending and wonderful narration!

Loved the conclusion for this one, and it shows Archer really stepping up to take care of Everleigh. This second installment focuses on their relationship after Everleigh was hurt, and it shows the two compromising and promising to be honest with each other. I liked both of these characters for their honesty towards each other, and their protectiveness to keep the other happy and healthy.

The narrators Lea Langola and Tor Thom narrated this one as well, and honestly, they are the best duo. I always come back to both these two because of their reading style and their accents. Some of the best I've heard on audio!

Love love love

The twists I didn’t see coming in this book are so so good. I really love the whole dynamic of this story from Archer’s relationship with his sister to his best friends. Every page makes you want more. It doesn’t seem like a set up for the next books at all so we might be in store for a new series starting!

🥰🥰🥰🥰

I can’t believe another of my favourite series is over, finished, Caput! The Lawton Ridge series will have special spot in my heart, i have loved every person from the very beginning but I think Everleigh and Archer take the cake and are my fave duet. I loved super protectiveness for his family and his dirty mouth, I loved Everleigh for her attitude, her confidence and her passions. Wanting You Close had me sitting on the edge of my seat with anticipation wondering what was going to happen next or what filthy sentance Archer would come out with 😂 WUC was a great ending to Everleigh and Archer’s story but a perfect ending to the series

My Thoughts on Wanting You Close

After another shocking ending to part one of this duet, I was more than ready to jump into part two and see what was going to happen with Everleigh. Obviously, I knew nothing truly terrible could happen to her since it would defeat the whole point of the duet, but I needed to see how bad she was. Who was really behind it? And how were all of her and Archer’s issues going to be resolved in order for them to finally get their happily ever after. That journey was really what made this story so good. There were plenty of moments that surprised me in how it played out. Some of the bad guys were expected but it was the how things were resolved with them that I enjoyed hearing about. It was all so well plotted and laid out by Kennedy Fox. And it was fabulously narrated by Lia Langola and Tor Thom. I have yet to be disappointed in a performance from either of these narrators and I love continuing to hear them together on these books. I look forward to more from this author duo and these narrators both together and apart in future.

Archer & Everleigh!

Everleigh and Archer couldn’t be more different from each other or a better match for each other. Her feisty , outgoing and positive personality is a perfect foil for the steadfast protector in him who would do anything for the woman he loves.

They are quickly realizing that not everyone wants them to be happy and are willing to go to drastic lengths to ensure that happens. Just when you think the danger is over hang on for another twist but they prove that as long as they have each other their love can overcome anything.

I enjoyed Everleigh and Archer both as individuals and as a couple. The chemistry between them is intense and their love unwavering as they fight for each other and the life they want to have together. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they ensure you feel all the same emotions that the characters are feeling.

Fantastic Finish to the series

Gah!
This book 😍
I didn’t think it was possible for me to fall even more for this couple, but somehow, Kennedy Fox made it happen.

Protective, loyal, loving, and kind Archer.
Fun, provocative, loud, and unashamed Everleigh.
They were perfect for each other.

Despite the drama, threats, betrayals, they fought for their love.
"Archerleigh" gave me all the feels.

Lia and Tor did a magnificent job with narration.

A great conclusion to the series

Wanting You Close picks off right where Forcing You Away left us on that Kennedy Fox style cliff hanger. Let me tell you the drama this couple go through did not end there either. The writing duo through everything at this couple and I loved how they fought through it all and came out the other side.

Archer and Everleigh were a different couple in some ways to what I expected but I loved them all the same. I thought the drama would come from their relationship with each other but that was not the case, they were each others strength and I thought that element worked perfectly in the end.

I really loved that Everleigh isn't afraid to really go for what she wants, and these two together are combustible. With the friendship circle involving the other couples from the Lawton Ridge series I really enjoyed this final book because it brought everything to a nice close. It was like getting an extended epilogue for each partnership and that for fans of the series is the perfect way to tie things up in a pretty bow, Bravo.

yes, you should continue

As a duet you need to listen to the previous book and yes, you should continue with these two characters. It was an excellent part 2. There was lots of action and twists. Tons of $exy times. Great narration.

Edge of my seat

I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this drop to my kindle and as soon as it did, I threw my reading plans out the window because I HAD to know how Archer and Everleigh's story played out. The angst was ramped up because the secrets from both their pasts come home to roost and the tension is high. Not only the that but the steam gets turned up a notch or two as well and I love seeing Archer and Everleigh coping with the outside stress together and that sure makes their bonds tighter. I cannot wait to see what this duo comes out with next but I guarantee I'll eat it up. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
