Publisher's Summary

I never imagined my new roommate would be the man I’d actually fall for. Though I don’t get close to the people I sleep with, he’s been my exception. Archer acts emotionally unavailable while he focuses on starting over, but our connection is too strong to ignore.

He’s rugged on the outside and sweet on the inside - the opposite of my usual type. I see the way his eyes gaze up and down my body, making it harder to keep my feelings in check. Knocking down his walls is no easy task, especially with my brother interfering, but I refuse to give up.

When lines are crossed and emotions bubble over, trouble finds us. We both have pasts that have leaked into our present - now I’m scared it’ll destroy the one secret we’ve been keeping.

Wanting You Close is Book Two in the Archer and Everleigh duet, and must be listened to in order.

love can survive anything

Archer and Everleigh have the best chemistry and I absolutely love the banter between them! the care and support they show is wonderful! so sad saying goodbye to the Lawton Ridge Duet series, but definitely plan to visit them all again by listening to the whole series again soon!

Tor Thom and Lia Langola really bring Archer and Everleigh to life.

Perfect Conclusion!

When Kennedy Fox writes a duet, they write a duet that leaves you wanting more after the first one. We had a jaw dropping cliffhanger with “Forcing You Away” which had me wanting more. The suspense and steam was brought in this story. We get the answers that were so desperately needed from the first book.

Archer and Everleigh are absolutely hot together and might be the hottest couple since Travis and Viola in “Checkmate Duet” series. Archer is a sweet guy with a very protective streak that I loved. He has a dirty mouth that had me fanning myself as I read it.

Everleigh has grown so much from the other books in the series and she’s become a favorite. Independent, doesn’t apologise for what she wants and keeps Archer on his toes. These two went through a lot in such a short time. And the epilogue made me so happy.

I’m sad that all their stories have been told but they are all instant rereads for me. I’m looking forward to the next series Kennedy Fox will write. No doubt it will be just as steamy and wonderful.

Lia Langola and Tor Thom have made this series even more amazing with their performances. They have brought every character even more to life.

What a great ending and wonderful narration!

Loved the conclusion for this one, and it shows Archer really stepping up to take care of Everleigh. This second installment focuses on their relationship after Everleigh was hurt, and it shows the two compromising and promising to be honest with each other. I liked both of these characters for their honesty towards each other, and their protectiveness to keep the other happy and healthy.

The narrators Lea Langola and Tor Thom narrated this one as well, and honestly, they are the best duo. I always come back to both these two because of their reading style and their accents. Some of the best I've heard on audio!

Love love love

The twists I didn’t see coming in this book are so so good. I really love the whole dynamic of this story from Archer’s relationship with his sister to his best friends. Every page makes you want more. It doesn’t seem like a set up for the next books at all so we might be in store for a new series starting!

What an ending to the series!

Words cannot express how much I lived for Archer and Everleigh but I am also so sad that this series is over. It was emotional and gritty at the same time with some crazy twists that will keep you on your toes and constantly guessing what will happen next. I swear, I snort laughed with Everleigh constantly. Her wit and sass is beyond epic and I could not get enough of her. Add Archer who fuels that fire and these two together, pure magic chefs kiss love! With Thom and Langola giving these two life, it was utterly everything. You could really feel the emotions bleed through their voices as the story progressed. The way this book ended too! Perfection!

Amazing Audio-Adds so much to the story

When I listen to an audio book I like for it to take me to places that I am needing to escape from. When I listen to Lia Langola and Tor Thom narrate a book I really feel all their emotions when they are telling a story. This book is very emotional to read and listen to. There are so many twists and turns that happen in this book specifically and the narrators do a great job really letting the listeners know what is going on with the way they verbalize the words on the page.

The way Tor Thom says a certain word really will have you clenching your thighs together and loving the Archer character. And I love how sassy Lia Langola is with way she portrays Everleigh.

Highly recommend this duet, I loved reading Archer and Everleigh's duet but listening to it made this book and the duet extra special the second time around. I love that these books are a little shorter so that I can get through an audio book pretty quickly. Do not miss out on the Lawton Ridge series of books. They are amazing and well worth the listen.

Slow burn that stole my heart

AUDIO REVIEW
I was so excited for Wanting You Close because book one certainly left me on tenterhooks for the conclusion to Archer and Everleigh’s love story and Lia Langola and Tor Thom did a wonderful job bringing the characters and this emotional story to life. This gripping tale was everything I expected and so much more.
I’m not going to write a review full of spoilers because I believe you need to experience this beautifully written, emotional love story first hand, I believe you need to listen or read this duet with no preconceived ideas so all I’m going to say is how this hook made me feel.
I swooned, I sighed, I held my breath as a I listened to Archer and Everleigh strengthening their bond and love despite others trying to destroy what they share. This love story blew me away and the narration took my breath away, I loved everything about this journey that’s full of love, passion with just enough suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat. If you love slow burn romances mixed with some angst this duet should be in your radar and what can I say about that ending apart from it melted my heart. This talented writing duo have taken their books to another level with Archer and Everleigh and the narrators did the story justice with a perfect performance.

Loved it - Great story and great narration

After the way the previous book finished I have to say I was on tender hooks picking up Wanting You Close. I’m not sure where to start with this review. What a gripping, emotional story that held me captive from the first word to the last.

The performance by narrators Lia Langola and Tor Thom did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life for me and certainly did justice to the story that Kennedy Fox wove. The tension, passion and love was conveyed well by the narrators and I fell in love with Archer and Everleigh even more as their bond remained strong despite outside influences trying to destroy them.

This is a love story that built slowly, with some angst and was well written. I fell hard and fast for Archer, he is such a wonderful hero. There were equal parts of suspense and heat the ending warmed my heart.

Finally their HEA

as so ready for Asher and Everleigh's HEA, but........ in Kennedy Fox fashion, I had to be put on pins and needles for just a while longer. The hits just kept coming for Asher and Everleigh. It was anyone's guess if they were targets because of her past or his. When Asher decided he needed to leave, I was like, "Oh no sir, you're not!" and then he did. GRRRR... these alpha men being all alpha makes me part aggravated and part swoony. Sigh... Loved the epilogue! This is my plug for a second gen spinoff with the kids of Lawton Ridge ex-cons all grown up.

Tor Thom and Lia Langola…what can I say about these talented narrators that I haven’t already said? Of off the Kennedy Fox characters that they have voiced, my favorite has been Archer and Everleigh.

I received an advance copy of the e-book and a complimentary copy of the audiobook at my request and voluntarily left this review.

What a way to end!

And just like that, it was the end! WOW, Archer and Everleigh was an amazing way to end the Lawton Ridge series. These two were absolute FIRE together. Lia Langola and Tor Thom brought Archer and Everleigh to life. I never like to see a series end, all of the Lawton Ridges couples are absolutely amazing. Ending the series with these two was the right choice. Spectacular job by Kennedy Fox, Tor Thom and Lia Langola.

A great conclusion to the series

Wanting You Close picks off right where Forcing You Away left us on that Kennedy Fox style cliff hanger. Let me tell you the drama this couple go through did not end there either. The writing duo through everything at this couple and I loved how they fought through it all and came out the other side.

Archer and Everleigh were a different couple in some ways to what I expected but I loved them all the same. I thought the drama would come from their relationship with each other but that was not the case, they were each others strength and I thought that element worked perfectly in the end.

I really loved that Everleigh isn't afraid to really go for what she wants, and these two together are combustible. With the friendship circle involving the other couples from the Lawton Ridge series I really enjoyed this final book because it brought everything to a nice close. It was like getting an extended epilogue for each partnership and that for fans of the series is the perfect way to tie things up in a pretty bow, Bravo.

yes, you should continue

As a duet you need to listen to the previous book and yes, you should continue with these two characters. It was an excellent part 2. There was lots of action and twists. Tons of $exy times. Great narration.

Edge of my seat

I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this drop to my kindle and as soon as it did, I threw my reading plans out the window because I HAD to know how Archer and Everleigh's story played out. The angst was ramped up because the secrets from both their pasts come home to roost and the tension is high. Not only the that but the steam gets turned up a notch or two as well and I love seeing Archer and Everleigh coping with the outside stress together and that sure makes their bonds tighter. I cannot wait to see what this duo comes out with next but I guarantee I'll eat it up. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.
