Story
Red always knew she would have to face the man who nearly destroyed her. She just didn’t figure it would happen so soon...With the plague sweeping across the nation, destroying many and turning others into walking corpses, survivors head West in search of a chosen land, a place designed to keep the infected out, while sealing survivors inside. In theory, the idea seems the only way to keep humanity alive. In practice, it doesn’t matter whether a person is on the inside or the out - there is no humanity.

Publisher's Summary
Trace Monroe doesn't believe in luck. He never has. But when a fiery-headed cowgirl saunters through the saloon doors, wielding shotguns and a know-how for killing the living dead, he believes he just may be the luckiest man alive.
Trace wants to join Red's posse, but she prefers to work alone - less messy that way. In order to become her traveling companion, Trace has to agree to her terms: no names, no questions, and if he gets bit, he can't beg for mercy when she severs his brain stem.
He agrees, knowing only that Red is the sharpest shooter he's ever encountered. The fact she's stunning hasn't escaped his attention either.
What he doesn't know, is that Red has a very good reason to be on top of her game. She not only has the answer for how they can all outlive the plague taking over the wild, wild west, she IS the answer.

Unexpected awesomeness!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely! I never would have thought I'd be a fan of a zombie book, but I loved it! Great story, complex thoughtful characters. Fun yet, serious. I would especially love to recommend it to a friend who would say "I don't like zombie...", cause I bet they'd love it, just like I did!
What did you like best about this story?
The characters! I really loved all of them, Red's spunky spirit, Cowboy's kind heart, really fell in love with them. Can't wait to hear books 2 & 3 to find out what ends up of them!
What does Rebecca Roberts bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Some really great voices! I liked how she spoke in a rather plain/unemotional voice when narrating and then would switch to the proper emotion when speaking in character.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely! I really got into it and wanted to know what happened next!
Any additional comments?
Really different from any book I've ever read or listened too. Smart story, character & plot. I just really liked it!

Apocalyptic Old West
Wanted, Dead or Undead, the first book in the Zombie West series is an Old West zombie thriller. Angela Scott is an excellent storyteller with an incredible imagination and the ability to engage her readers/listeners. The storyline is well-developed, exciting, and humorous, with several intense scenes and unexpected twists and turns. The characters are well-rounded, intriguing, and easy to like. Red is the perfect Western heroine; she is strong-minded, spirited, capable, and a great with guns. She and Trace Monroe, a kind-hearted cowboy, embark on a survival adventure in the apocalyptic Old West.
Excellent performance by Rebecca Roberts. She emulated the characters well, and her timing and inflection were great. Overall, Wanted, Dead or Undead was an enjoyable listen, and I recommend it to all zombie enthusiasts. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Some zombies, some western, some bonding (no not bondage)
The story starts out very western, but that feel quickly tappers and feels like a classic zombie apocalypse story. Sure they rode horses and have revolvers, but it didn’t feel like John Wayne was gonna give a cameo.
Some parts felt flimsy, but later leave feeling like that part of the story is just going to build up. The relationships didn’t feel forced, even if predicable, but without really know how much time had passed it’s a little hard to get a true gauge. Just assume a lot of time passed because they are in horseback not cars.
If you have read “the girl with all the gifts”, you will see a relationship. Curious where the author will take it though.

Interesting zombie story
This book was provided free of charge in exchange for a review.
This is the story about a rag tag group of people who are thrown together as they traverse a zombie filled old west.
The main characters come together from different places as they encounter each other as Red moves from place to place looking for normalcy again.
It is a group of young people who scoop up young children and on older man and try to survive the winter in a hostile environment.
There are multiple levels of story here and you sometimes feel that the group are not mature; but they are young and the young do tend to be immature at times.
Well written and very interesting. It kept my attention throughout and the zombies were mostly a secondary player. The book dealt with the relationship of the group of people and the consequences of their actions and decisions.
Well narrated as well and good job of multiple voices and fully understandable.
The book left you with the knowledge that there had to be more coming and that many exciting things were going to be happening.

The Wild West!
I really LOVE the TV show, The Walking Dead but it seemstthat nowadays that's all you read/listen to. Personally, for me, it's getting old. However, I did enjoy the story that Angela Scott has written. The story is based in what I consider the old west. In the days where you have saloons, life is hard, and family is everything. The author paints somewhat of a different story of people who die and rise again without a pulse. The story is intense, filled with adventure, packed with action, bloodshed, loss, and even love. The main characters are likeable, especially Red. She's a wanted person who has been bitten plenty by the dead and still walks, talks, and a heart that beats.
The narrator, Rebecca Roberts does a fantastic job in her telling of Wanted. She breathes life into the story and makes it a fun, enjoyable. story to listen to. She kept my interest held from start to finish. I loved the southern accents she gives some of the characters. She did a fabulous job with Red. You feel as if you're there, seeing everything as it unfolds. This story is one that I will say you really should get. I really recommend this story to everyone. I received this audio in exchange for an honest review.

Generic western with Zombie twist.
Having listened to one more heavy and dark books i needed something a bit easier going. Happily this did just the trick i could switch of my brain more than the zombies it detailed and still follow.
