Publisher's summary

Best friends Katy and Leigh start college and it is a whole new terrifying universe for Leigh. She is extremely introverted and plagued with anxiety around other people, whereas Katy is fun, social and outgoing.

Leigh can't imagine what Katy was thinking when she dragged her along to a kegger to meet up with a guy. Impossibly, Leigh winds up finding a kindred spirit at the party. And something special blooms between the shy woman with the only person in the world she wants to speak with but can't.

People Watching

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Of course I would, this story is very adorable that it's just too cute. someone doing everything they can to know everything about the other that she would learn an entire language. it a sweet romance story and I definitely recommend it to anyone

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wallflower?

hmmm... aside from when Lee finally got Amber's name? it has to be when Lee admitted to her best friend katy about her sexuality and she didn't even bat an eye. I hope I have friends as awesome as her, being a lesbian myself it's comforting to think that some people can be like that.

Have you listened to any of Hollie Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

well I have listened to this one so long ago I have just not realized I haven't reviewed it yet but yeah this one is definitely with her other works. I really don't know how she can do the different tones of her voices, I wish i knew.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

hmmm this is hard maybe... "A silent encounter that changed their lives" yea i think i'll go with that.

Any additional comments?

what to say... hmm.. well the story is great and the audio is beyond expectation. Overall a great audiobook to listen to. you will not regret buying it. or you know using a credit, enjoy listening

Short but enjoyable

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes!

Any additional comments?

This story is rather short at only around 37 minutes, but that means you can easily listen to it severeal times without investing too much time.
It's sweet, easygoing, drama-free and very cute!

The Author's Formula

This is a sweet, compelling, short love story that is touching, yet haunting. There is one character who faces and overcomes tragedy and/or disfigurement. As is always the case there is also a small, but supportive community with a heroine who through grit and persistence overcomes her disability/ disfigurement. This is the short story version of Karaoke Queen, and/or Silent Bob. If you like Erik Schubach you'll love this miniature version of his novels. Oh yeah, if you're sensitive/ sentimental this one will probably make you cry.

Loved it so exciting

Of all the books I've listened to this was the most outstanding. I know I'm a guy but I really need another fix of this stuff again and soon. Would love all the leads I can get for stories of this caliber. Thank you...Michael

its a beautiful set up for this sweet couples story that we get to see in The Pike. the narration is just as good as the rest of her work in this series.
