Podcasts about the joy of walking an official long distance path (LDP) in the UK. From the planning and scheduling to the discovery of some hidden treats and secrets about the British countryside. I'm planning to walk a self-contained LDP in each of the 38 English Counties. Oxfordshire, Essex and Bucks have already been walked. The first series of this podcast covers the Warwickshire (Centenary) Way walked in 2021 and series 2 covers the Worcestershire Way. So 'walk this way' as you discover lots about the British countryside and hopefully it will inspire you to get out the OS maps and walking boots and explore the great British countryside for yourself!Follow us on: https://www.facebook.com/longweekendersinfohttps://www.instagram.com/longweekenderinfo/https://twitter.com/LongWeekendersYoutube search for Longweekenders #walkthisway Theme music by Rockabye Baby. https://www.youtube.com/user/RockabyeBabyMusic1© 2025 Walk This Way - discovering Long Distance Paths of the UK Ciencias Sociales Escritos y Comentarios sobre Viajes

For series 4 of my podcast about long distance paths and walking in the UK, I tackle the Gloucestershire Way in the Spring/Summer of 2022. A 100 mile walk through the beautiful English countryside. This episode covers day 3 of the walk from Boxbush to Gloucester, a 14 mile stretch of the walk. I'm yet again joined by Andy as we awake in a famous pie pub, before going up May Hill, seeing bluebell woods, visiting a famous cheese farm, a walk along the Severn then a dash to the cathedral.

I'm trying to complete a self contained LDP in each of the 38 counties of England. Gloucestershire is my 7th county. I'm hoping that my podcast series will inspire others in the UK to walk a long distance path (LDP) - there are over 1,500 routes to choose from, check these out via www.ldwa.org.uk for more information
