Publisher's Summary

For 17-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.

She can't tell anybody about what she does - they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can't control.

Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more that a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant....

Really BAD Narrator !!

Would you try another book from Lisa McMann and/or Ellen Grafton?

I would never get another book read by Ellen Grafton!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Absolutely Horrible

Any additional comments?

Ellen Grafton ruined this book for me I had to just go get the book and read it myself. I was hoping for an exciting reader to make to book better. Natalie Gold Would have been much better!

Performance leaves something to be desired

Story is great, characters are interesting! Definitely would've preferred to read the book due to the lackluster performance. Several times the mood is ruined because of monotonous narration. Listen to the sample before committing to the audio.

Great book

I read this book a while back in college. It was one of few books that I could read nonstop. the only thing I didn't like was the way the narrator reads it. made it lose a lot of its appeal for me. take my advice and get a physical copy.

good

Took a few chapters to get into. I wasn't overly impressed by the narrator but it was okay. I will probably continue in this series.

Great Read/Listen

Any additional comments?

Purchased for my classroom to convince a very reluctant reader that the book WAKE was worth her time. It worked, she was enthralled with WAKE and is now reading FADE.

Awful Narrator, couldn't bear to listen

The narrator talked like a fourteen year old. My sister and mother raved about this ya book so I really tried to give it a chance but after about thirty minutes I couldn't take anymore. Afterwards I borrowed their hard copy and really enjoyed the story. Since I spent most of the beginning cringing I reread the entire book and found that the narrator had completely confused the emotions in the book, acting frivolous and carefree in sections that were meant to be serious and somber. I recommend listening to the sample before purchasing.

Different Concept, Lovely Story

I read this when I was in middle school, it's very nostalgic for me. The concept of being sucked into other people's dreams is always one of interest. You never know what you're going to get or where the story's going to go. The love interest keeps my focus and makes me want to know about the future.

Mildly Entertaining

This book was just "ok". Good concept, but the writing style is poor. Appropriate for teens, but way too juvinile for adults.
