Dick Canidy races to stop an assassin from disrupting a vital conference that will shape the course of World War II in this electrifying entry in W.E.B. Griffin's New York Times bestselling Men at War series.

November 1943. Stalin is pressing the Allies to open a second front in Europe in order to ease the pressure on the bloody grinding war in the East. Roosevelt and Churchill agree to meet the Soviet premiere in Tehran.

Wild Bill Donovan, the charismatic leader of the OSS, has intelligence that someone is planning to assassinate either or both of the Western leaders at the conference. He sends his best agent, Dick Canidy, to thwart the plan, but how can he do that when he doesn't even know if the killer is a Nazi or an Ally?

Did not capture the essence of the main characters, or their placement in the overall WEB Griffin world.

Thin essence of characters.

There seemed to be too many repeated lines from chapter to chapter. It felt as though a new chapter was a repeat.

Didn’t enjoy this one as much as the others, and felt like it went a little too far even for this author on things that could never happen

Feels like the 7th

The narration in this book is so bad I was not able to get through chapter 5. I have been reading and enjoying WEB Griffin books for more than, ugh, 40 years now. This is not worth a listen, it may be a good read but I am not able to do so anymore with my vision as degraded as it is. I hope the next volume is released with a new narrator. Rudnicki sounds like a box of rocks being dragged down a gravel road by a big block Ford with open headers during a thunderstorm.

Couldn't get past the narration

The story line has departed from believable and entered fantasy. Get back to a more realistic storyline.

Griffin is rolling in his grave

Useless detail. Anticlimactic ending
Worse one yet poor storyline nothing gripping struggle to finish then glad it was over

Nothing. Nothing stood out remarkably unremarkable
