Texas, 1890 - Desperate but Determined
When Daisy Muldoon’s uncle dies in a logging accident, he leaves behind a modest inheritance. The problem? He hid the money somewhere in their rented cottage, and no one knows exactly where.

Without the money, Daisy and her two younger sisters have no means to escape the rough logging town where men outnumber women five to one.

With the new sawmill owner intending to live in the cottage, Daisy must find the family money before time runs out. She prays the good Lord will provide an answer.

Pineville is no place for three vulnerable girls.

Loyal and Steadfast
Zach Honeycutt arrives in Pineville to run the family’s new sawmill. He discovers the three Muldoon sisters living in his cottage. It’s a disaster. The littlest one, Poppy, is small but mighty fierce. The middle girl could be trouble too.

But the eldest, Daisy, proves to be the biggest problem of all.

The nineteen-year-old blonde beauty, with her fragile smile, steals his breath from the very first moment. Zach’s got to keep his wits about him despite the powerfully distracting Daisy. He’s got a sawmill to run. On top of that, he's determined to protect the three girls from the rough citizens of Pineville.

Zach’s got plenty to contend with, but one thing is certain: Pineville’s no place for three defenseless girls.

This book focuses on the couple and the main character’s insecurity. Very little plot tension. Enough humor to keep it interesting, but not a particularly exciting book. I found the mother’s subplot to be more engaging. The biggest surprise was the virtual voice. It’s a very deep masculine voice that I found very pleasant to listen too.
