Publisher's summary

With the wedding only days away, the Ministry is thrown into turmoil when another murder is committed by a shape-shifter. But this time, the newspapers make the connection to werewolves - and the Ministry. Suddenly, the attention is focused on Lichfield Towers and its residents as the police investigate and parliament wants to shut the organization down.

It could spell the end of everything Charlie has come to love. As the authorities close in and ministry secrets are exposed, past allies can no longer be trusted. Can Charlie save her home, her loved ones, and herself? Or will she lose Lincoln and her friends forever?

Great series.

This was a great series with good character development and solid plot line. Last volume was a divergent path but interesting

A fun read

I enjoyed this book. It’s fun and not full of real life drama. We have enough of that. This is an escape. A fun read to take your mind a ay for the moment. Try it some time.

The resolution for Charlie and Lincoln

This is the 9th of 10 books in this series. It brings about the resolution of Charlie and Lincoln's relationship, and the Ministry of Curiosities. I've tended to discount romance novels because of the cliche plot, and this series follows the general cliche formula...but I didn't expect that there was going to be a great plot outside the romance, nor did I expect to care about the characters--both of which occurred.

I am now a fan of CJ Archer, and hope that there are more cross-over stories that include Charlie and Lincoln even as peripheral characters...and I would love to revisit them in another book/short story.

Much improved from book 8

This episode of the story offered more substance an seemingly fewer long drawn out kiss descriptions. Good plot twists and turns.

Shiromi Arsenic is one of the best narrators I've

While the story is quite compelling, the narrator brings the characters to life. The voices she uses for each character make it easy to know which character is speaking, her speed is just right, and her inflections and emotions are on point. A thorough joy to listen to.

What a Wonder!

This book was like Marvel ENDGAME, rewarding the longterm fans with the inclusions of Hannah, Jack, Emily & Kara. Jack & Lincoln are also quite similar. Nice touch making me feel for our villianess. A satisfying ending. I almost don't want to go forward.

So triumphant is this book, that listening to Book 10, The Wisdom of Madness, was a complete chore. It is completely anticlimactic! I don't care about Alice, sorry. And if it wasn't for Seth.... Book 10 was a real disappointment, one that I'm writing under Book 9 as a warning, but more because I didn't listen to Book 10 in Audible so I can't rate it here.
