Amazing

Incredible story. Set in the fun town of New Orleans. Voodoo, witchcraft, and a vampire. What's not to love in this amazing story.

Monroe strikes again with a new amazing series!

I have been binge-listening Monroe's books because I fell in love with the universe he created. This new series is just as good as his others and I will definitely listen to all of it! I love how he manages to mix supernaturals (main character is both vampire and witch), but especially how he doesn't work with "bad" or "good" characters, just like there aren't any purely bad or good people in real life. Mercy is such a character, she has both good and bad in her. This series presents her present and her past and it's fascinating to see where she comes from and where she ends up. I definitely recommend this series! (And all of the other series written by Monroe! <3 )

okay I really enjoyed this book very much, but it took me a minute to realize that this was the vampire that the voodoo Queen 👸 saved. I'm also loving how it goes back and forth from her past to the present. this was such a fun book too. the narrator did a really good job. looking forward to getting book 2.

same Narrator as Mercy, distinct&different voices

I enjoyed both Mercy's and Hailey's stories and although I prefer Mercy personally... I still love the talent of the narrative both by the author and narrator. At first I was taken aback, Hailey's personality comes across as a little egotistical and possibly shallow. Then I remembered she starts her story as a child. As she becomes a confident woman, witch, vampire, she grows up and looses some of her more abrasive attributes like pettiness and becomes a thoughtful, caring, powerful woman. The transformation is subtle and well written. At the end she is not like she was in the beginning and I am looking forward to more

Another well written & enjoyable read/listen

Voodoo and Vampires (The Blood Witch Saga Book 1), my twenty-eighth read from author Theophilus Monroe. Theophilus Monroe has become one of my favorite authors this year. Well written & enjoyable read, the first in his new Blood Witch Saga series. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Kelley Hazen's narration adds to the enjoyment of the book. I look forward to my next read from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Loved it

Just..wow. It’s literally in the title “Voodoo and Vampires”. An interesting combo that I’ve personally never seen from any other author! This was a great start to the series and I can’t wait for more!!

YA Tribulations

I enjoyed this story featuring a sixteen-year-old youth, drawn to magic, and strong willed enough to sacrifice everything to attain her dreams. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Kelley Hazen's narration was great and added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Great Read

Voodoo and Vampires (The Blood Witch Saga #1) was a great readby Theophilus Monroe. Hailey Bradbury was only sixteen when she was turned seven years ago. She is a young vampire, but she's also an accomplished witch. She is a member of the Vampire council and her mentor is the Voodoo Queen. She is supposed to seduce and assassinate the vampire king who has defied the new vampire council. I loved listening to Kelley Hazen's narration and what she brought to the characters. I cant wait to read more in this series.

Intriguing

I couldn’t get over this beginning to a new series. A witch turned Vampire. Unbelievable. Loved it. Love the Narrator and the Author.

Great series starter!

I absolutely love how all the books and series I've read by this author share a world. Not only do they share a world but the characters pop up in other series besides their own. I think I first "met" Hailey in the Nix series, then again in The Legacy of a Vampire Witch. She's a young sixteen-year-old witch turned vampire who maintains her youthful voice throughout each series. The production as an audio is wonderful. I love that Kelley Hazen maintains the voice she established in earlier productions when they move to another series. I totally loved listening to her rendition of Voodoo and Vampires.
