Publisher's Summary

"Voice of War is a perfect blend of magic, family, and chaos that will leave you begging for the next installment. Fans of Brandon Sanderson will love this."

While preparing for the birth of his first child, Chrys Valerian is tasked with uncovering the group responsible for a series of missing threadweavers - those able to see and manipulate threadlight. With each failure, the dark voice in his head that began during the war grows louder, begging to be released.

A young girl from a secret city in the center of the Fairenwild, veers off course to explore the streets of Alchea. She never expected that her journey would end in chains.

Far in the deserts to the south, a young man's life changes after he dies.

When Chrys learns who is responsible for the missing threadweavers, they come for him and his family. He must do everything in his power to protect those he loves, even if it means trusting strangers or, worse, the dark voice in his mind.

Together, their lives will change the world - whether they intend to or not.

WOW. This will be a movie someday.

INSANELY INCREDIBLE NARRATION. Flawless. Perfection. Spot on. THIS is how a book should be narrated. The narrations adds a vibe to the story that just belongs there. One of my top three narrators ever. The story: Great characters and character development. We've got walled cities, fey forests, and Ewok-village-style cities. Magic, but more interesting. The magic is being connected by threads to everything and they have the ability to manipulate these connections. The people fall into one of three categories: achromic brown eyes (no special abilities), emerald eyes (thread-weaving pullers), or sapphire eyes (thread-weaving pushers). You're either born with abilities or you aren't... until someone starts messing with nature and then we get amber and obsidian, which threatens to end it all. And all the while through this really cool, unique story is the most brilliant narration bringing it all to life. There are so many places to go after book 1, I can't even imagine where book 2 will take us. (I SURE hope there's a book 2!!) I was provided this book in exchange for an honest rating - but I would absolutely buy this book and will buy the sequels!

A gripping and original tail and world

I enjoy Brandon Sanderson and there were times I was listening to this that I forgot this wasn't written by my favorite author. The characters are relatable and the world feels real. I'm eager to listen to the second.
