Publisher's Summary

Even the Spoken Mage has limits to the power of her voice.

Elena may be the only Spoken Mage in history, but she struggles with limitations. Unable to stockpile written workings as her mageborn year mates do, she runs the constant risk of burning out. But when the armed forces draw the third years to the front lines of their war, Elena's strength and flexibility may be necessary to keep them all alive.

As Elena wrestles with how much she will sacrifice for the war, Lucas must decide how much he's willing to sacrifice for her. Faced with a greater threat than even they realize, Elena and Lucas must work together and either fight or be consumed by their enemies.

If you enjoy strong heroines, fantasy worlds, adventure, intrigue, and romance, then try the Spoken Mage series now!

Totally awesome

This third installment of the Spoken Mage series continues the story of Elena, the first ever spoken mage. Character development throughout each installment has increasingly entwined with the intrigue and intricacies of the deepening plot, continually keeping readers/listeners on the edge of their seats. As in the previous two audiobooks, narration is a wonderful support to the already gripping story.

Third year is a charm

This third book really surprised me, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I loved how we got to see more connections to where her power might come from. I loved the building of their love story between Lucas and Elena. And coralie too. There were some surprising twists that leave you wanting more. The narration is awesome,I love her voice for all the characters.

Another enjoyable read

It possible that I enjoyed this book more than the earlier ones in the series. Elena continued to grow and make better decisions. However, the final interaction with the General left me slightly baffled. I didn’t feel like enough thought went in to such a momentous change. I’ll still read the next in the series, but am not as driven as I had been earlier.

THIS ONE DOMINATES MAGICAL STORIES !!!!!

BEST ONE YET IN THE SERIES. THE AUTHOR REFLECTS A LOT OF SOCIETY TRUTHS AND FLAWS. FUN AND LAUGHS THROUGH OUT THE STORY. THE STORY STANDS ALONE BUT HAS THE FEELING OF A CLIFF HANGER.
EDGE OF YOUR SEAT WAITING FOR THE NEXT ONE. THE NARRATOR WAS GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW

Get this series!!!

So, I started out reading this authors fairy tale series and then came across the Spoken Mage series while it was still being written. I started out reading the first 2 back to back, then the 3rd as it came out, then went back and read through the whole series when the 4th book was released, and then less than 3 months later, here I am having just listened to the first 3 books again, and it was enjoyable every single time. I read a lot, so a story that is this “re-readable” is pretty remarkable to me. As far as the audible version, the reader is great, the accent and affectations were spot on and it was a joy to listen to. Overall, just as enjoyable to listen to as to read. Highly recommend!!!
