Marc Thompson does it again

These Star Wars books are a lot of fun. I enjoy them a lot. Especially with Mark Thompson as the story teller. He does the voices so well. The adventure continue for Luke Han Leia Lando and Chewy. #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

The best star wars book.

I love star wars to the point it influences most of my life. But when I listen to books I love for them to be intelligent. This brings Timothy Zahn's genius together with my favorite franchise and makes a beautiful book.

Too Many Aliens

Great story, masterfully performed, but far too many obnoxious and superfluous alien voices that quickly become annoying. Aside from that flaw, Marc Thompson is excellent and the story is captivating.

lots of bang for my buck!

So this is definitely the longest single book I have listened to from Star Wars, I think. Although I wasn't really keeping much track when listening to the fate of the Jedi and legends of the Force Series, which I also liked. I know that the duology is a newer recording of an older series of books, and I never really got to listen to the older ones. Or rather, I have the older ones and they're such bad quality that I couldn't stand listening to them. This production was amazing though! I kind of went backwards from the later books in the series, chronologically speaking. It is really cool to actually listen to all the stuff happening that was mentioned in the later books. definitely worth a listen!

with him as narrator, my love for star wars only grows.

Superb Narration & a Thrilling Finish

Wow what a ride! The final book in the Hand of Thrawn duology. Civil War in the New Republic, a secret plot by selected Imperials to sabotage a peace offer, terrorist acts, the Unknown Regions and Luke and Mara's engagement, it's all here. You could read this juicy book of Star Wars adventure, but it is best experienced on audio. I read small portions of the book, but did most of it listening to the superb job of narrator Marc Thompson. His amazing vocal talents are wonderfully on display here. This book has a large variety of characters and he handles them magnificently. His Luke Skywalker is worthy of Mark Hamill and he handles Han, Leia and Lando equally as well. I didn't want this book to end. We had a number of careful details laid and while the payoffs were excellent, the only issue I have is with the rushed ending. I wanted to hear what Bel Ibils and Pellaeon spoke of and more of what happened during those last 15 days. Zahn is a true master of Star Wars and he writes like no other. I'm eagerly awaiting the first book in the Chiss Ascendancy trilogy coming next month. This was a superb book and even better in audio. Superb audio production by Kevin Thomsen as well.

Mark is an excellent reader. The stories were great. I just wish they had made these into movies.

Its good like really good but was a little disappointed to see the way Thrawn was portrayed and if you have listened to this book you know Thrawn isn’t really you know a bit different but it plays into the plot sooooo can’t complain to much its great though
