Publisher's summary

For a decade, Confessions of a Video Vixen author Karrine Steffans and the details of her private life have been the subject of debate and scrutiny. But, as gossipmongers and critics speculated, assumed, and manufactured tall tales about the New York Times best-selling author, Karrine hid herself and her truth from the world, imprisoned by an abusive marriage and the judgments of society.

In Vindicated: Confessions of a Video Vixen, Ten Years Later, Karrine takes listeners into the belly of the beast as she harrowingly chronicles the systematic breakdown of her mind, body, and spirit at the hand of one man and the events that propelled her back to prosperity after losing everything. She candidly shares her struggle to be what others demand, her obsession with the American dream, her desperation to appear normal, the lengths to which she went, and the price she paid for it all.

This dark, long journey into the life of an abused and tormented woman, wife, and mother uncovers a long-guarded set of painful personal truths, reveals the inspiring details of her life-saving triumph, and will change everything you thought you knew about Karrine Steffans.

It was okay

I get the point of the story. But I feel that she told a story that showed no real growth. I read the first book and this one. Nothing in between. This book feel like not much changed

Extraordinary, Far from Normal, well written book!!

If you could sum up Vindicated in three words, what would they be?

Emotional.Cleansing.Vindication.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Her west indian husband who played the role of houseboy. I chose this character because exactly the same situation the main character was in with her abusive husband, Ms. Steffans became the abuser in the relationship.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was the extended stay hotel scene I couldn't stop crying.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes the "And then what" part of the book which probably means nothing to anyone else but to a woman who has been through a lot it was an emotional phrase, in the sense of moving forward and never going back to abuse. I always asked this question and for the first time someone understands and I am not alone.

Any additional comments?

I am very pleased that this book was finally written ten years later. This is a story that needs to be told,as well as so many others.

Stay Centered, Grateful & Prayerful.

Keep striving for greatness Ms. Steffans! May God continue to bless you and your family. Don't ever give up no matter the obstacles! As long as God wakes you up in the morning, there's always an opportunity for a breakthrough. Stay up and best of luck. - Jeff Luckado

Not what I expected!

The narration was pretty good, the story not so much! it was a long drawn out story of essentially being a doormat and a women who after all she has been through really has not learned from them at all! Through every chapter As I hoped this would be the one where she would get it. I also could not help to wonder where her son's head was watching his mom go from man to man trying to find something that was within all along! I kept on wondering what his confessions would be! I hurt for him, I felt pain for him. I don't feel like I gained anything from experiencing this book!
