A thriller with a perfect blend of plot and character development. Authentic story line.
Great narrator. Fun, fast moving.

Don’t skip on this author!

I listen to 2-3 mysteries/thrillers a week and I’m always correctly anticipating a relatively boring first half for most of them- but this series is completely different. This has the action of 4 books in one. The dialogue is quick and smart and the character development is strong without being tedious. I’m DEEPLY regretting not giving this author a listen sooner so if you’re like me and love smart, strong female characters who don’t need to be saved by a man- this is for you.

Another welcome audiction!

I do so enjoy my British psychological thrillers and this is yet another reason why. Thinking this book’s storyline would not be for me, again I was wrong. I devoured this devious adventure with fervor whenever I had free time. Authoress Caro Savage delivers a suspenseful and darkly unique offering. Add to this, multi-talented narrator Genevieve Swallow brings each character to vivid life. Never a dull moment, “Villain” moves at a perfect pace, drawing me in and never letting go. Plenty of action, emotions, danger and trust issues Intertwined with two mystery subplots makes it wicked-good. Following Detective Constable Bailey Morgan, get ready for your jaw to meet the floor throughout. Just when I thought it was near the end I was not ready for, I was thrilled as this captivating thriller continued. An awesome nod to the talented duet of Savage and Swallow, along with Audible for making this available in its Plus catalogue at no cost. I’ve been lucky and have found a choice of hidden gems. Recommended? Indeed! Worth a cherished credit as well. I don’t know what took me so long to get it. I’m ecstatic I finally did. I look forward to more by this well-paired duo. Again, I’m shrieking from my rooftop, Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!
