Publisher's summary

Animal. Monster. Beast. That's what they call Viktor Melikov, the man who hides in the dark...but even monsters need to be loved. The moment he sees the girl hired to dance for him, everything ceases to exist. It's a feeling he's unfamiliar with...and craves more than anything.

Alexis Kidd sells her body. Not because she wants to, but because she needs to. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to support her family and survive.

Now she must dance for a man hiding behind a veil.

But when the urge to take a look grows too strong, Alexis gets more than she bargained for.

More than Viktor was willing to give.

No cliffhanger. Stand alone.

Inspired by a fairytale, Viktor is a standalone romance by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Clarissa Wild.

Really Comes Alive!

I read "Viktor" before, but I must say that listening to this was an absolute pleasure. Having it read to you... hearing their voices just seems to bring the characters to life.....
The "Company" is a bad bad organization. No one knows that better than Viktor. Ten years ago he did the unthinkable, paid a price and told himself he was done with it....... the "Company" doesn't agree!

Loved Listening As Much As I Did Reading Viktor

I read this book first and then jumped at the chance to get to listen to it. It is one of my favorite Clarissa Wild books. The narration is amazing and you will be so lost in this experience the whole world will fall away from you for a while. This is one book that is both worth reading and listening too. Now for a bit about the story too so you know what you have to look forward to.

Viktor Melikov has lived through hell. He has hidden in his castle because people call him an animal, monster or beast. He hides his face and doesn't care about much of anything really.. He has got a temper and lots and lots of secrets. He hires girls to dance for him and only ever uses the same girl once. The rules are simple no looking at him ever. Nobody dares to look at him because it could cost them their life. That didn't scare her though and she watched him, actually had the nerve to look and he likes what he saw.

Alexis Kidd was a street kid. She only has her sister and protects her with her life if she has to. Selling her body got her and her sister off the street and into a room at least. It's the first real home they have ever had and she's also able to provide them with food. After receiving a lot of money to dance but not look at some man in a castle, Alexis did what she was not suppose to do. She looked and she liked what she saw. She wants to know more about him Why does he hide behind a veil? She just knows she has to find out more no matter what the consequences.

Viktor is a book that is inspired by a fairytale. It's dark and edgy and absolutely amazing. I could not put this book down until I got to the very end. It's a absolutely beautiful story of two damaged souls. Full of edge of your seat breath taking moments and a whole lot of hotness. I so do not want to give anything away and I'm terrified I will. There are moments in this book you will never see coming.

Clarissa Wild is one of my favorites. She never fails to stir up strong emotions in me and keep me guessing. Viktor is a must read especially if you love dark reads. I'm so glad I got to read this book and I can not wait to see what Clarissa Wild comes up with next.

Another great Clarissa Wild story!

I really liked this story! I enjoyed the male narrator alot more than the female though. If it was done duet style, it would have been better. I think the male did a better female voice though than the female did with the male voice. It was still enjoyable though, and the narration didnt take away from the story. I loved Viktor, he stole my heart!

CLARISSA, YOUR BEST WORK EVER!!

What can I say love! love! if you love your fairy tales, in this case 'Beauty & the Beast'
and you love them with dark themes and lots of suspense and just enough erotica without going over the top with it and for me personally, don't appreciate vulgar explicit fan fiction sexual books. I need to become involved and feel the characters and need narrators to bring these characters to life! The author has definitely done that with this book. Also the narrator John Tillman absolutely in love with his voice. For me this is a keeper! Hopefully she will bring some other fairy tales to life.... here's hoping (fingers crossed)

Great Falls to plagiarism of Beauty and the Beast

Although the story was slightly different, it just runs so highly and similarity to Beauty and the Beast that I had a hard time believing Amazon would let this be published without someone screaming plagiarism. Although I love Beauty and the Beast, so I'll give it 4 stars. However a message to the author, you should be more careful to make sure your story is a lot more diverse from a classic original.

Cheesey

I was excited about this book but lost enthusiasm quickly. the narrator made sarcasm and smart ass remarks sound snarky and childish ruining most of the book. "Lexi" and her sister are too much.

So so good!

Any additional comments?

Loved this! I probably seemed a wee bit crazy to some of the other drivers on the road when I freaked out, talked to characters, and basically got into the book, but I enjoyed myself. Fantastic story and narrators!

He could be your worst nightmare

This book sounds like a fairytale only for some it could be your worst nightmare.
I absolutely adored Viktor yeah he is rough, dark, maybe even demented but when he set his sights on Alexis aka his Lexi most of that roughness was broken. She brings out the best and worst.

Alexis is in for more than she bargained for after one dance brings her face to face with the man behind the mask. Her only thoughts are however saving her sister. But then her entire world starts to crumble and who is there beside her?
Well you listen and find out.

The narrator did a fantastic job of handling all the male characters and not to bad on the female ones.
He made this seem like it was happening right now which is awesome. Again I throughly enjoyed this audible.

I love the new spin on an old tale!

What did you love best about Viktor?

Viktor was the epitome of a broken alphamale! He's so flawed yet you wanted to wrap him in your arms and hide him from the world. There's something about scarred heroes that pulls at my heart. Viktor pulled me in at first throat-grab. The banter, the push and pull between the Alexis and Viktor was a hoot! I laughed out loud with their antics and this is something I didn't see happening! You essentially fall in love right away with them.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gosh, such a tough call. Alexis had a take no crap demeanor. She was fiercely loyal to her sister which really pulled me to her! She was rebel. Alexis made no excuses for who she was. I adored her and every bit of her attitude. The way she pulled Viktor out.

Have you listened to any of John Tillman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not. This is a first for me. I really enjoyed his reading. Viktor's character needed a strong voice and John Tillman sure fit that!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Viktor was a story of two damaged people who came together creating magic in between all the chaos. The story drew me in from the start and as I went on and the plot unfolded I felt like I was getting drawn in the a black hole. This story consumed me... the characters are complex. The best thing about this book was that even though there is a lot of darkness there is also light, laughter, and love... so much love!

This is not your typical romance, it's not hearts and flower nor is it pretty words and romantic gestures. What it is is raw and sinful, it pull you in sucks you dry and spits you out. I loved every word read to me. Tillman's voice just pulls you in.

Any additional comments?

This book has a lot of little hidden surprises along the way which is why I haven't gone in to detail about the plot or the characters because it would just ruin it. Give this a listen... it's super enjoyable! I laughed out loud and may have had a stray tear or two at the end.
