Publisher's summary

Intrigue and romance in the Caribbean.

When Finn's boss assumes the role of femme fatale, it ends badly for her. It's never a good idea to seduce your employee, but when his girlfriend is a cold-blooded killer, it's downright foolhardy.

Finn and his coworker Aaron Sanchez uncover a conspiracy to disrupt the U.S. political system. Finn's lady friend Mary Beth O'Brien has stolen files that name the conspirators. A coverup ensues. The agency they work for fires Sanchez and issues a warrant for Finn's execution, but Sanchez lands on his feet, and Finn's hard to kill.

Sail along with Finn and Mary as they work their way through a more than normally complicated courtship. Listen to Vigilantes and Lovers today.

Awesome series

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I really enjoyed this installment of the J.R. Finn series. This book, in particular, was just as interesting and engaging as the first 2, but had an almost introspective feel to it. There wasn't quite as much action as the last books, but there was enough to hold my interest and keep things moving. I would highly recommend not jumping into this series out of order. They all build on what happened (and wrap up open items) in the last book(s). The narration is outstanding and I'm definitely going to keep going on the series.

Book Three Keeps the Tension Going.

A web of intrigue and duplicity is being woven around Finn. Will he be lured into the trap or outwit them all? Friends and foes at times seem to be interchangeable. Even after 3 novels, I'm still not sure if I trust Mary. The level of action in this series did not fade with book 3. I am looking forward to book 4.

Vigilantes and Lovers

Wow this series just get more intriquing as you listen to each addition to the series. Finn isn't sure what to think. The Author and Narrator do a fantastic job at the twists and turns of this story. And I love how the characters are brought out as well. These assassins really no there stuff. This is a real page turner that had me on the edge of my seat. This is definitely a series that is a must listen. And the book covers are fantastic as well.

As good as I expected it to be!

I just finished listening to this book and I sure wasn't disappointed in the least! I had no idea what to expect and couldn't stop listening until the end. I love how this series is full of suspense and I could never predict what was about to happen. I had a guess as to how this book was going to end....and I was wrong. It didn't end at all like I expected but it has a great ending! David Bosco gives a great performance, breathing life into these characters once again and making them feel real. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

The Mystery Continues!

This is the third book of the J.R. Finn Sailing Mystery.
Finn and Marry have confessed their love. However, it’s not clear, at the beginning, if Finn can completely trust her. She has been less than honest in the past. There seems to be a tangled web that needs to be untangled!
After reading these three books, I have imagined how my life would look living on the water. Good series. I’m about to start the fourth book.
The narrator, David Bosco, is awesome!

And the hits keep on coming!

This book did not have as much action as the first two but don't let that lack fool you - there was tension aplenty. In fact, I spent this entire listen wondering if Marybeth was with or against Finn! It was never quite clear (until the end) and it made for some great heart palpitations!

Caution: You really need to listen to the first two books in this series first. This book picks up right where book two ends and even though you get information about what happened in the first two books, you can't really appreciate it without hearing the whole story. A lot of questions get answered in this listen.

I can never say enough about how great David Bosco's narration is. My only complaint about this listen is that it ended too soon. And that the next book is not ready yet.

Who’s playing who? The game continues...

Vigilantes and Lovers (J.R. Finn Sailing Mystery Series, Book 3) by Charles Dougherty and narrated by David Bosco is another great book in the J.R. Finn Sailing Mystery Series! Recommend picking this series up if you enjoy mysteries with sailing elements or looking for something new.

The story continues with Mary and Finn attempting to uncover the other players in the game, but is it really as it seems? Old and new characters make an entrance and...exit. It always comes down to who’s playing who. And that’s all you’re getting due to spoilers. While this isn’t the strongest book in the series, it is an important one as a lot of questions are answered. There’s not as much action as the previous as the focus is on the detective work, but it’s still a fun listen.

David Bosco shines once again. I’d recommend listening to the audiobook as David’s narrations are wonderful and add to the story.

Parental guidance/trigger warnings: killing, drugging, and violence. Language used: slur used once (fa****),b x10, fx1,slut x2,s 20 plus times, h x7, d x11. The main characters are assassins.

Addictive, award-winning fiction!

The adventure continues for Finn and Mary Beth as they unravel the treachery. I look forward to the next sequel in this heart-stopping saga of murder and mayhem.

David Bosco does an excellent job of narrating and bringing the characters to life.
