Publisher's summary

Would you be prepared to work for free? How would you like to bust your hump for a large corporation 60-plus hours a week without a wage or a single day off for the vague promise of some mysterious perks in the distant future?

You'd refuse point blank, wouldn't you? But what if the job in question was playing a state-of-the-art fantasy MMORPG game? And what if this was the only thing you're really good at? Especially considering that your in-game partner is someone really special to you - and this person already lives a virtual life?

Knowing all this, would you consider the mysterious future bonus worth your while?

At first glance, the term LitRPG seemed a bit silly, but this book was a blast.

I wasn’t sure how something could be an RPG without an “active element.” Turns out I didn’t care! Looking forward to future entries in the series!

Great litrpg

I loved it! Good take on litrpg, I already bought the 2nd book, I'm only taking a moment to write this. If you're into video games, you will like it too.

Excellent story!!!

I’m a gamer and sometimes these types of stories don’t work well as books, but that is not the case with this story. I was hooked from the beginning and loved every minute of it. The voice person did a great job as well and didn’t pull me out of the experience. Very well done all around and worth the purchase!!!

great book

This is a great story. The author has created an interesting dynamic between his characters, both npc and in game player characters. Though I like the characters very much I could do without the occasional cussing, as I don't think swearing adds anything to a story. Otherwise it is a fun read, and I loved the telling by the voice actor.

MMORPG adventure

To (fully) enjoy this you really need to have experience from at least one MMORPG, preferably in fantasy settings.
Once started I just couldn't put the audiobook away. I want more.

Can't put it down

Very good story, couldn't stop listening. So far, it isn't getting predictable yet.
Timothy joins a gaming company to provide for himself and his younger sister. His job was to promote the use of unconventional races in the game. He befriends several other players and NPCs along his adventures. Can't wait to listen to the next book.

Best litRPG

this is my second favorite series of all time and the best litrpg in my opinion. the narration is amazing clear and distinct differences between characters with consistencies. the immersion in the story is so good that you forget it's a litrpg and it's a bit jarring in the book when you realize he's describing a video game and not a fantasy world several times in the book. for this reason I can recommend this book series to video game fans or not
